God is Love
Love is blind
Stevie Wonder is blind
Therefore, Stevie Wonder is God

I've been told I'm nobody
Nobody is perfect
Therefore, I'm perfect
But, if only God is perfect, then, I'M GOD
IF STEVIE WONDER IS GOD, I'M STEVIE WONDER

OH, MY GOD, I'M BLIND!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is usually people, not God, that get upset when someone mocks God. I am a person of christian faith and I get confused and angry with HIm all the time. I also believe He knows what is in our hearts, so it doesn't matter what others say about our beliefs. What does matter is being respectful to others and their beliefs. I can take a little mocking every now and them too. But, since God is my creator and the one I love above all others; I am not going to disrespect Him.

Most sensible creatures realize that there's no good reason to mock the person who gave you life, and who still retains ultimate and eternal power over your body and your immortal soul. Fortunately, God mercifully takes pity on stupid people and cuts them some slack. Congratulations! It's not that God isn't tough enough to handle mocking, it's that it shouldn't be done in the first place. I'm tough enough to handle being shot in the hand by a .22 rifle, but I'm not looking to go do it over the weekend!

Oh, and "thou shalt not tempt the Lord your God" means... well... don't tempt God to do anything. Instead, seek to serve Him.

Well it's not that god can't take the mocking, it's that people don't like it. Lets be clear about who doesn't want to hear that kind of stuff. Remember you are dealing with people and their feelings on this, not really dealing with god.

This is a no brainer, I take it you didn't give this much thought?
It's not a point of whether or not he could take it.

It's for the same reason most people would find it quite distasteful if you mock their parents, wife/husband, children or anyone else they feel very close to.

When Jesus was about to be crucified he took the spits, mockings, insults, language of the vulgar crowd and was blamed for something he did not do.We christians are very firm in our belief and we do not like something to be said against our belief. If people don't believe in God, they must not hurt the ones who do.

Well send one of YOUR children to be the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world, and let's see if you're so ready to be mocked.
