you are absolutely right. all the qualities attributed to god or devil exist in ourselves.love, sacrifice, compassion and other good qualities tell us the presence of god in one person. if a person possess hatred feelings, religious fundamentalism, intolerance towards other faiths, hegemony ism and envious of other human beings, he may be termed as an evil person. super ego is god according to Freud.as an atheist, i firmly believe that good persons and evil persons only exist

why do you say there is no Good or Evil ??
cannot you differentiate between good or Evil ??

The Presence of God is Good, the Absence of God is Evil.

Just as in a Government, Presence of Law is Good, and Lawlessness is Evil.

So in Absolute Terms every thing is under Gods Law. and hence an Intelligent person must learn to differentiate this way ..
The is the Purpose of Intelligence ...to differentiate Good from Evil

Well, it really depends upon who you ask. But if you are looking for solid proof, and not simply conjecture... Then no, there is no God. No one has ever proven the existence of a "Higher Power." As for evil; it is all in how you look at it. Some cultures do things every day that other cultures might consider evil (cannibalism, for one.) Actions themselves are not inherently evil, it is how society perceives them, that makes them "good" or "evil."

But even if you claim no god you claim god. you make yourself god. then right and wrong good and evil become subject to your own ideas. So if you are god and everyone how doesn't believe in god are gods themselves that good and evil must be a collective idea? Does that then make you closer to being Mormon? I can see how that could be.

God is good, and Evil is the absence of God in man.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

No there is no god, but there are gods and goddesses. And quite frankly most of them don't give a crap what people do. In my religion everything is reversed, the good guys are bad and the bad guys are good. You know what my ancient sisters & brothers did (especially sisters)? They took the OT and swapped the words "good" and "evil", and suddenly it all made sense! Hey no wonder they burned them alive.

There is no absolute proof of GOD but there's no absolute proof of NO GOD, so, either you believe (faith) or you don't. Evil is an individual personal perspective, which is different for each one of us. Collectively humans decide what there social group determines to be evil or not, and, write laws and rules to "protect" themselves from it.

Only religious freaks like Christians would make people feel bad on their death bed about doing right or worng.....especially those who have beaten their wives or children in the name of God.
