I'll give you a simple solution. (Simple but not so easy unfortunately).
Reduce your daily calorie intake by 300Kcal and burn extra 300Kcal daily by doing cardio. Running is best, but other exercises that brings up your heart rate works as well. (Biking, Swimming, Dancing etc.) I'm really sorry to say but you also need to cut fatty food and beer out of your diet. =( (My personal favorites).
Do this for a month, and I guarantee you you'll see the difference in your abs.
The only way to lose "love handles" is to lose your body fat overall.
I'm sure, if you are 5'8" and 155lbs you don't have that much to loose. (Depending on your build). The old man above telling you that you should weigh 120lbs at 5'8" doesn't know what he's talking about.

If you'd like to lose weight, try increasing daily activities. You do not have to run on a treadmill, just moderate fast walk will do, during lunch time, everyday if possible (20-30 mins). Eat right: more vegetables and fruits and fibers. Avoid fast foods (the transfat in foods have been proven to add weights onto the abdomen on animals). Do not deprive yourself of carb, fat and protein; just don't eat excessively. Good luck!

I got rid of my saddle bags and love handles by holding onto a chairback and lifting my leg up to my waist level. Forthose tough spot raise it a little higher. Do it the same way to the other.Visble results in 5 days.

You are not that overweight, to worry about much, but you can do Yoga in terms of Asanas and Pranayam or breathing exercises specifically designed for fat at wrong places in the body. You will loose weight as desired. Of course, you have to forgo tasty food for the sake of your health. The frequency and quantity of food have to receive your special attention. things will be all right!

you should weigh about 120 pounds so if your in good health buy a pair of sturdy running shoes and runnnnnn.jog before you run and walk before you jog.
