Give him time, the last thing he needs is to be smothered. In the end he will either come back to you, or not. Don't chase him away.

I think he told you pretty clearly what's going on. He wants some time away from you. It could be because you start crying on the phone all the time or maybe he's seeing someone else, and she was busy this weekend. He probably thought spending the weekend with you would ease his guilt or maybe he wanted to see if you are really worth sticking around for. The girl he's interested in could be someone from his work, and when he saw her on Monday it reminded him that he wants to be single again. Either way, don't be sad, meet other people and maybe you'll find someone that wants to be with you and will return your phone calls.

You could snoop around and find out if he's seeing someone else. I think you should ask him the next time you do talk to him. Guys have a very hard time talking about themselves, so just keep that in mind and don't let it get to you. Or, maybe he really does just need a break to figure things out. I would much rather have a guy who's honest and moves out in order to think clearly than one who tells you every night he loves you but is seeing someone else too, if that is really what he is doing.

It sounds to me like he doesn't have the guts to tell you that he needs something else. If I were doing what he is doing, I would have to say that he is trying to move on without the confrontation of a break up, or maybe trying to keep his options open in case he decides he can't do better....

He's buying time. When a guy avoids you he's upto something (most of the time) Most likely he's got another girl on the side or is reveiwing his options. Try to sit with him & have a good heart to heart talk with him

This is gonna sound mean...I really don't want to sound that way but you should hear my version of what may be the truth:
I think maybe he's got another girlfriend or wants to play single but wants to keep you hooked in case it doesn't work out.
Sorry again

It sounds like he is already seeing someone else. Guys don't "need a break" from regular sex. I am guessing he didn't want to have to break up with you outright. He will probably be a jerk until you break up with him. Guys can be a little twisted that way!

seriously, he is done. I only can go buy what you described, but that is a scenario that accurately describes someone making big long term plans that you're not a part of anymore. Cheers.

Try to be rational, wait few days then if you didn't hear from him any thing don't contact him any more and don't break your heart by your hand.
