They haven't learned the concept of holding a grudge. Our society & culture will soon teach them that.

Children often fight over toys or anything for that matter just because they want what someone else has. There could be a million toys in the room but just because their sibiling is holding one of them, that is the one they want. It really has nothing to do with the toy itself. When they go to sleep, they no longer have connection with that toy. Today it might be a different toy. All children go through this.

Most children have a very short attention span, usually about three minutes. After a period of any other activity, such as sleeping, they have forgotten the fight over the toy. This is a good way to stop such a squabble. Get one of them interested in another activity or another toy and maybe avoid the argument.

Children's attention span is quite a bit less than an adults (as a rule), therefore, once they have slept, to them it is a New Day.

BECAUSE they are too little to remember alot of things. and after resting they recharge and their minds are set on other things after sleeping.
just like parents fight and then go to sleep and forget the fight before. their minds on other things after waking up refreshed.

Because kids have very short term memories - and they fight mostly when they're tired.
