You have to include in your prayer what you want to ask from God. Even if He already knows what's on our mind before we say the prayer, it is important to tell Him what we want and He will listen whatever it is. If our prayer is answered, be thankful, if not, God has a better plan for you.

When praying, try on this step:
1. A-adoration (praising God)
2. C-contrition (asking for forgiveness)
3. T-thanksgiving (thank God for blessings)
4. S-supplication (prayer requests)

Ask away! You won't spoil any of his plans. Prayer doesn't change God's plans. Prayer makes it possible for us to discern his will and conform our will to his. Most if us don't do a very good job at it. For more information or to post additional questions go to www.askmeaboutgod.org and receive a prompt, free, complete answer via email. Cheers! Doug

one of the most important parts of prayer (in any religion) is to ask for what you want. Otherwise, what would be the point? True, you might think some people don't have anything they need, but really no one has everything. There is lots anyone can pray for and asking for things is not the only reason for prayer...

God tells us to ask Him ,he is our Father and wants us to come to Him with our needs and concerns just like any Dad. No need to wait we can't spoil His plans except by ignoring Him. He may say yes or no but he does answer in His time if we are listening with our hearts. So my answer is pray and ask God hes waiting.
Take care hope that has Helped take Care

Ask and see what happens. Keep a list of what you asked for and then go back after some time and see if you actually got what you asked for.
Maybe wouldn't prove anything but it would give you an idea whether it does you any good to ask for things in prayer.

You can always ask for things if it is God's plans for you it will happen. You can never spoil his plans he knows what you want before you even ask and He's the big boss so even if you ask He doesn't have to answer.

Prayer is a part of mental creation. Everything in this world is created twice. First in mind then outside. Prayer helps to create a betterworld inside you. So that, your subconscious mind creates at least 10% of that automatically for you outside. Then you work hard for another 90% and create the world you wanted to have.

You can always ask for things in prayer but don't expect to get them. Be grateful for what you get in the end. Don't just use prayer for asking use it for thanking also.

when in prayer, it is best to be specific, but the word of cation is to be careful what you ask for, and to also be aware that a prayer is answered in God's time not in our time, in the end it is always best to be open and receptive to the will of God and always allow him to do his wonders in your life,
