Jesus's death on the cross was necessary as outlined in scripture for our salvation from the Old Testament, and Jesus is God - also outlined in scripture.

To deny the deity of Christ, His physical resurrection, and salvation by grace as the JW above claims does not make JW's the true Christians but the actions of a non-Christian. To arrive at the trinity of Christ as God in three persons cannot be achieved through individual verses from scripture.

Like Jen Hates Morn pronounced; Jehovah is the ALMIGHTY, Jesus is the amazing God, also observed as the be conscious, the in person-friendly words BEGOTTEN, the first BORN. All issues got here by him yet there truly is a Father and a Son. See Col a million:16; John a million:a million; John a million:14; John 3:16; professional 8:30 as well; there would nicely be no different one which could want to provide any such sacrifice of useful Jehovah's Son. Christ who became a spirit creature in heaven, then conceived contained in the womb of Mary, lived as a suitable guy, died in our behalf so as that we will be reconciled to God.

Yahweh God was right there with him, along with the Holy Spirit. All the supernatural events that occurred at and around Christ's death attest to it. Redemption was a joint enterprise of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that was centered on Christ. As for the name Jehovah, why use a cobbled together alliterative version of God's holy name, when he plainly told us his name is Yahweh? Even the name Jesus means "Yahweh's Savior". The only problem here is, we are supposed to believe that Jesus was God.
So I assume this means that God was actually Jesus, being crucified.
However why then would Jesus, who is supposed to be God, call out, (according to the Bible) 'My Lord. My Lord, why have you forsaken me?' Was he talking to himself?

The Islamic point of view is somewhat easier to understand - that there is only one God, Jesus was a righteous messenger of God, calling to good, like Abraham, Moses etc. God made a man take on his likeness (possible Judas) who was crucified, and Jesus was raised to Heaven.

The purpose of Jesus' coming is to die for the sin of the world. In John 3;16, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed is him should not perish but have everlasting life.Romans 5:8 says 'In that while we were yet sinners Christ die for us'.
Romans 10:9 says " If you believe in your heart and confess with you mouth that God raise Christ from the dead you will be save".
Jesus Christs dead is Gods plan for mankind not by accident.

This question is good, since it reminds bible students of the illogic associated with the so-called Trinity doctrine.

True Christians understand that Jesus and Jehovah are two distinct persons. Almighty Jehovah God created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want YOU to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

He was hanging on the cross. He was the cross. He was the earth the cross was set in. He was the cloud in the sky that day. He was the people watching. He was those who were afraid to watch. He was the star in the sky that evening. He will be the star in your sky this evening. He was not judging the situation in any way. He is reading this answer pretending to be you right this instant. Love and blessings Don.
