How could anyone believe that, if they were all based on the Bible; they would all teach the same thing. God's word doesn't change and his Son's teachings have never given anyone license to do so. You seem to forget that there were an awful lot of religions out there before the Bible was ever written down in the first place. Besides it wasn't until Martin Luther translated the Latin Bible into German that people could even read it for themselves. So how could it have influenced all other religions? Some of them maybe.

No I don't. Christians do share the Old Testament with people of the Jewish faith and people of the Islamic faith, however that's as close as we get to the other religions being based on the Bible. Having said that, the scriptures of many religions do have similar elements to the Christian Bible...for example the creation myths in most religion share similarities in form and structure and many religions have some form of a flood narrative. Check out Joseph Campbell's "The Power of Myth" for more.

No. There are many cults/religions that started before or do not express the same tenets as the Bible. They were all attempts to get at the truth which I believe is only in the Bible.

The monotheistic religions are from the Sumerian people. The Sumerians were Caucasians who settled in Mesopatamia. They were one of the first civilizations we know about. They were eventually conquered by two Semitic peoples, the Amorites and Elamites. The Hebrew creation story and flood were the Sumerian version. Christianity and Islam are based on the Hebrew and therefore the Sumerian religion.

a team can declare they base their ideals on the Bible yet some base them on the chief's **interpretation** of the Bible. i understand for a fact that for the time of my own (evangelical) church, my own address specific passages might variety in specific techniques from a brother or sister's. My appreciation of specific components of our liturgy (type of provider) is rather diverse from some others. yet we agree on the fundamental fundamentals, and we are able to comply with disagree. even nonetheless in a team which imposes the translation of the chief on all believers and demands conformity without dissent, then sure, you're managing the two a cult or a team with cultic dispositions. some years in the past I had to chop up from an self sustaining congregation that had began out properly yet over the years the pastor's specific, own take on the understanding grew to grow to be paramount and every physique who disagreed "mandatory to repent" or "became in insurrection." the quantity of administration grew to grow to be intolerable so I left, in user-friendly terms to be recommended that the different individuals have been informed I had "wandered from the Lord." Oh rather. The Lord (and my new congregation) rather do not think of so. And God has the final call, not Pastor X.
