Jump from places that are lower and work your way up to places that are higher. Its not a solution that will cure you quickly though. It will probably take you a year or more to get over it.

I do not think this phobia is affecting your relationships and your health. So, I suggest you just get on with your life and avoid the situations that are giving you trouble. If you must seek help, I have put details for the web about the rewind technique, you can get more from the source. Or you could look up hypnosis that is supposed to work as well.
Rewind Technique.com
The Rewind Technique is a startlingly effective method for curing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic attacks and phobias.
It is known as the Rewind Technique due to the use of the sufferer’s imagination to ‘experience’ rewinding occurrences of the incident(s) in their mind’s eye. One of the great benefits of the technique is that the practitioner does not need to know any detail about the incidents, greatly relieving the discomfort often involved in the re-telling.
The story goes that the memory is 're-processed' by the higher cortex, enabling the emergency pattern to be released by the amydala and the memory to be 're-classified' as non-threatening. Thus, the pattern-match that was causing the anxiety and panic no longer occurs. For more on this, see The Shackled Brain.

Well it might be a rational fear if you ever jumped off a high place and hurt yourself as a result?
Start on small diving boards again, keep on telling yourself how well you are doing each time. Until you get anywhere near a higher diving board again probably not a good idea to bungee.
I'm renowned for thinking so much about things I talk myself out of doing it - which is annoying! Perhaps do it on the spur of the moment - just get up on the diving board and don't even hesitate, just jump!

If its things like diving boards etc then find a pool that has a variety of boards and start with the lowest. Keep jumping off that one until it is second nature and then work up to the next one and so on. May take a while but as you become happier with the lower boards, the next ones up wont seem so high..trick is to do it in steps. That or find somewhere like an outward bounds centre that have assault courses or treetop walks where you are harnessed with a saftey wire and cannot fall. That way it will help you see there is no need to be scared of it.

have heard from talk shows, the only way to get over phobias(if you truly want to get over this) is to confront it.
have you done these things recently or just when you were younger?
when you develop a fear, usually dont do things that you are afraid of.
if you want to do these things- then just do them--confront the fear.
good luck.
im afraid of roller coasters and those things you speak of too. I just choose not to do those things, its my choice.

The only way is to do it whilst realising that it won;t kill you.
You may want to try some NLP (neuro Linguistic Programming) to help you get over the fear.
Good luck and happy jumping

YES...AND THIS IS REAL SIMPLE. DON'T JUMP ! BETTER YET...DON'T GO TO HIGH PLACES TO JUMP. DID YOU SAY ...BUNJI ? LISTEN, IF GOD HAD INTENDED FOR US TO STRAP A RUBBER BAND ONTO OURSELVES AND JUMP OFF HIGH PLACES , HE'D HAVE GIVEN US BUNJI CORDS INSTEAD OF UMBILICAL CORDS. WHAT YOU ARE FEELING ON THE CURRENT FEAR FACTOR IS SIMPLY YOUR BETTER JUDGMENT WAKING TO TELL YOUR BRAIN TO LISTEN TO LOGIC. ACCIDENTS CAN HAPPEN AND YOU CAN REST ASSURED THAT YOUR HEAD WILL NOT ENJOY SUCH AN ABRUPT STOP SO STAY CLOSE TO THE GROUND AND HAVE FUN

Take baby steps in achieving this, experience it mildly and guide your way through the fear.
