You can't be friends with them either, either. The best thing to do is maintain a very courteous, and careful, student-teacher relationship. Being friends with them makes you one of their peers and you are not supposed to be one of their peers. Leave the friendships to students of their own age, and maintain your professionalism. It isn't fair to expect them to understand the boundaries if you are not making the boundaries clear for them.

Well i was 26 and my students were like 22-24..
and it was tough for me keeping a straight face during classes..
All i would do was keep a straight face and ignore thier smiles and advances...
Had to deal with a girl with tough talking too...
But its tough...u got to use ur brains and think before u say something...it should be in such a way that they should get it and not get hurt either...

I thought you were the teacher, do you even know what teacher means, it means that you could teach them anything, looks like you are having trouble teaching them hello, is this what we need to hear from our guides to our future generation, " oh I don't know how to teach them. Change you currier right now or else the future for us don't really look too good.

Just let them crush on you...I use to have a crush on this fine police officer in the 9th grade. People told me that he was too old but I still was crushing on him. Just don't crush on them back, ok? Plain and simple.

Don't encourage them and just act like their teacher. They will get over it. At that age it is normal for kids to think that they have crushes. I had a crush on one of my teachers but he just treated us like students and we moved on.
