first of all, trinity is not understandable. There is only one God. not three in one God.
If God is the Father and also the Son, then He would then be the Father of Himself because He is His own Son. This is illogical!
-------
furthermore, look and this verse of bible.
Mark 13:32
"But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father."
If Jesus and God are equal then they should be equal in knowledge. But as we can see, God is greater in knowledge than Jesus. The fact that one "personality" of God has knowledge not available to the other "two thirds" is a clear indication that they are distinct and separate beings, and not three faces of one being.
And if, as some suggest, the Son was limited by his human nature from knowing, the question remains, Why did the Holy Spirit not know?
Some say his human nature prevented him from knowing. Reasonably, though, if, as some believe, he was fully God, nothing could prevent him from knowing. How can human nature prevent God from knowing anything, particularly something of such import? That further proves that Jesus was not all-powerful, because if he was all-powerful, then he would have power to know the final hour and to give himself this knowledge.
Furthermore, if someone thinks that Jesus the man did not know, then he is missing a point that according to Christians, Jesus was 100% man and 100% God in one body. It means, Jesus possessed the same intellect of God and man. If he had the same intellect then he should have same knowledge. But when we read the text it says only the father knows. This means that even the "DIVINE JESUS" doesn't know. This means that no one else knows including the divine Jesus. Therefore, Jesus lacks being All-knowing. and we know that God is All-knowing, hence, Jesus cannot be God.
Quran (holy book of islam) says in chapter 4 verse 171
"Say not ‘Trinity’: desist:
It will be better for you for
Allah is one God."
[Al-Qur’an 4:171]
Quran says in Surah Maidah chapter 5 verse 73
"They do blaspheme who say
God is one of three
In a Trinity: for there is
No god except One God.
If they desist not
From their word (of blasphemy),
Verily a grievous penalty
Will befall the blasphemers
Among them."

The Son and the Holy Spirit are just two different Parts of the Almighty Creator! Like two arms of the same body. Each of them has all the attributes of the Father, just like a small quantity of water taken from the ocean has all the characteristics, albeit in minute quntity, of the ocean. The Son represents the Part of the Father that is Love, wheareas the Holy Spirit is Justice! These two remain one with the Father, even when they had to be severed and incarnated on earth as envoys or Messengers from the Father.

If you read Philippians 2 you will see a little of what Christ did to become man and the self imposed limitations that He put upon Himself in order to accomplish redemption for mankind. When He spoke the statements that you are talking about He was under those limitations but that is not the case any longer, no was it the case before. The Holy Spirit is different for Christ, who said when He returned to heaven He would send the Holy Spirit, in John 15. When you die you will be in essence a different person because your spirit is what remains in eternity and the earthly is put off , unless you are not saved in which case your soul will live on in death.

Bible is a veritable vortex of confusion. Why to make many other friends feel shy of telling this truth again and again. By relying on Bible alone you will never be able to resolve these confusions. You have to read Vedanta or Yogananda Saraswati's writings. He died in USA whose body did not decompose even after 23 days, a miracle certified by the Curator and Director General of the USA, then. His book on Bhagvad Geeta in two volumes has profuse reference to the Bible and Jesus and the concept of Trinity while explaining the Vedantic thoughts on monism and non-duality of God.

Most Christians believe that there is one God -- but that there are three manifestations of that god (kind of like the mafia capo who is loving at home -- but not on the job).
Not all religions that consider themselves Christian believe this. Mormons, for example, think that the trinity is made up of three separate beings working together for a common purpose.

The way to think about this is like an egg - it has three distinct parts - the white goo, the yellow goo and the shell, but it's still an egg - one thing.
God is the same - three parts, but one being. You can address God, and you will be speaking to the three.

Catholics have thousands of Gods, most of them minor Gods.
The Trinity defines three Gods but in order to make them fit Hebrew myths, the Nicene Council claimed they were only one.
