Yes, there is. My friend had to make many calls to the doctors, hospitals, surgical centers, diagnostic centers, but finally she got
someone to help her. Her son was in a very bad accident, and after he recovered, he had been off work for a long time and could not get caught up even though his insurance helped. She got $39,000 written off.
But, she gets her point across if you know what I mean.

Go to the billing office and see if they will settle this with you. Explain that you can't pay it; but you are willing to pay, say 25% of the bill. they might cut you a break.
