Why would this be an issue? Unless you plan on keeping them separated forever, it's probably not going to happen. Even if you feed them in different rooms, the odds are they will not eat everything, and the minute you open up those doors they are going to go run and see what the other one got - because it just has to be better. Eating together teaches them to share, plus it is a social time. It really is okay if they eat out of the same bowl.

I don't think it is a problem if they eat from the same bowl, if that is what they want to do they will do it!

You could try to separate them but that may just cause stress for them as they will be wondering what is going on.

Our cats have a bowl each, I will put exactly the same flavour in each bowl then half way through they swap over!!!! They are such creatures of habit sometimes it is scary!

Keep redirecting each kitten to the proper bowl. It can take a lot of work and often you have to watch the cats for the whole time they feed. Depending on how old your kittens are or if one is more food aggressive, you can teach them "no."

I wouldn't worry about it though if it's the dry food that you are free feeding them. Even if it's the wet food, if you give them enough and they both seem to get a decent amount, it's ok.

I just put 2 bowls down, 1 in front of each, and theyve stayed eating seperately ever since! Theyre absolute beggers at doing anything else, like not attacking the hamster, not chewing the sofa, not ripping off wallpaper but hey! At least theyre getting enough food lol!

why? let them eat from the same bowl, unless your having a problem with one eating more than the other. in that case seperate them, or feed more to the other one when the other one is done.

Put them in very far apart like in different rooms to start off. Then once they get used to having their own bowl you can gradually move them closer together. Make sure they each know where their own spot is to avoid confusion.

My cats eat from the same bowl, and I think it's cute. It's not a big deal.

Cats are independant and it's nice too share. I have 4 cats some fight but they all get their food and when I was separating them it just created more hostility. I kept an eye on it and tyhey are all now great friends

why dont you just let them feed from the same bowl if they are both eating as much as they want to? i know sometimes one can be greedier than the other. less washing up to do!
