I want to buy a car. in a few months I will have about 10k saved up. I want to put that as a downpayment and finance no more then 5k. but I want a car that will really turn heads in that price range. What would you buy?

If I were you...I would go for something you dont see every day. I would get a Pre 84 Corvette Stingray. That should turn a few heads. Plus you could probably get one for around 10K and not finance ANY of it.

Whatever you get I learned its better to get a 1 year old car rather then a brand new car. You will get twice as much for your money. For example: 2006 Ford Focus $14,900. 2005 Ford Mustang $14,900. Lets someone else take the first year loss in value.

Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai all have some good offerings....I'm a Pontiac guy myself, so I would probably go for a grand Prix or Monte Carlo myself, but that's me....

Cars that no one wants, or loose value,
Usually the full size are better,
older people drove them, and took care of them
