Yeah, they are almost similar in color and texture but however, frogs belong to amphibians while turtles belong to reptiles due to its body conditions such as body temperature (cold blooded, that is) and how it lives. Frogs go through metamorphosis process while turtles do not as they grow up. These are reasons why they differ and belong in different classes of the animal kingdom. Don't you find it a bit bizarre?

Frogs are amphibians. This class of vertebrate shows many transitions eg. mode of respiration is dual. Frogs (adult) respire through : 1. Skin, 2. Buccal cavity and 3. Lungs while tadpoles of frog have gills. On the other hand turtles are reptiles, true terrestrial. however they live in water but respire in air. For aquatic life they have several adaptations. Turtles are more evolved than frogs, evidenced by their heart, brain, urogenital system, integument etc.
