Heres a rountine: Standing Barbell Curls 3 x 6-10 Tricep Pressdowns 3 x 10-15 Dumbbell Curls 3 x 50 Diamond Push-Ups 3 x Max Three times per week increase the weight for each exercise by 10% every two weeks. Remember to work the rest of your body as well!

Squats and Leg Press. Squats may be difficult but just about everyone can do leg press. Don't be afraid to go heavy with the weight too. Women lack the hormones to become "bulky like a man." Your muscle size will still increase somewhat though, making the glutes and quads easier to see.

Don't be one of those girls that leg presses like 50lbs! Your legs are used to holding up your entire bodyweight on a daily basis. They are your strongest muscles and are very powerful. I'd say start off leg pressing at least your own bodyweight.

Also, it is important to have a cardio program to reduce overall bodyfat.

Get on all fours and extend one leg and lift it and dwell.
While doing this clinch the buttock muscle for the same side as the
leg you raised.Do five or ten reps and switch legs.
In a week or so you can add ankle weights.
Be careful of muscle cramps,build your routine slowly.

Squats and lunges using weights and good form. Also great are step-ups - set the step high (or do them on regular stairs) stepping up w/one leg, raising the opposite knee about hip height then do the other leg.

the best way i have found,is lie on floor and sqeeze your butt cheeks together as hard as you can,holding for about the count of ten

sit ups- with some weights on your shoulders..... (make sure you're concentrating the efforts on your butt rather than your thighs)
