so why do muslim women wear hijabs ?

i know less and less muslim women who wear hijabs especially the younger generation. soon it prob could be out of fashion.
and another thing why some cover their hair and not their face, is their hair better than everybody elses. and also the ones which cover their whole face, y dont they get a transparent one so they can cover their eyes too

Why are People so much concerned about Muslim Women wearing Hijab? Do they hurt you? Do they shock you, I think you have no concern with Muslim Women on Earth.

Hijab is Something ordained by Culture, go to countries like the UAE, Jordan, 95% of them are Muslims, but most of them doesn't wear Hijab and they are Muslims, Muslim Women wear Hijab in order to Protect theirselves from the Bad Attitude of the Modern Humanity, they can easily attract men if they don't wear Hijab and thereby causing Sexual Abuse or something illegal.

I think Muslim Women have the most ordained and good attitude, and they try to be Virgin untill they get married, and this what all World Religions wanted to have in their community, for say, Christianty also doesn't tolerate all this kind of Sex stuffs is just that the religion has now mixed up with Paganism that's why.

Yes, Every Muslim Women is suppose to make herself clean, clear, and not just live herself like someone who comes out from the bush... This question is not reasonable...

You dont judge a car because of its driver. Because many at times, the driver screws up the car by going beyond limits.

Similarly, dont judge Islam by looking at the bad practices done by some muslims. We all are human bound to do a sin.

Islam is the only religion that asks the men to do'Hijab' before commanding the women. Puzzled? Hijab means to lower one's gaze when encountering a person of opposite sex.

The Quran commanded men first and then to the women. Now the question is why do Muslim women wear the 'hijab'?

The answer is simple. You take extra care for any possesion that is of a high value to you. By Hijab, Islam gives a protection to women. All major sins like rape, fornication & molestaton can be avoided if women dress sensibly.

It has been confirmed by many doctors that man has a greater drive towards sex, and he gets easily provoked. So Islam prevents the further developments by asking first to the men to lower their gaze and then commanding the women to wear Hijab that will protect lustfull gazes from falling on them.

As regarding the face. The hijab is complete, covering everything yet there is permission for leaving the face uncovered. Certain scholars hold teh viewpoint that due to the present situation of the world, wherein sins have been on the rampage, even the face should be covered.

When I accepted Islam, more than 20 years ago, I didn't know about hijab, and very few women were wearing it where I was living, in Buffalo, NY. When people told me about it, I knew had to do it. If Allah ordered it for me, it was because it was good for me. Allah, Who knows everything, past, present, and future, knows what is best for us, better than we can possibly know ourselves. So I started to wear it, and I felt weird. After a few days, I gathered my courage and went around to all the places I usually went: the supermarket,. the clinic. the post office, etc., and let everybody get a look at me. The only person who even reacted was my doc, an American Jew, who asked if I had joined some kind of group. I explained, and she asked what ti meant to her. I told her about pork, alcohol, and modesty, and she wrote it in my chart. End of discussion. My mom was upset by it at first, but saw after a while that it was positive. Now she introduces me thus: " This is my daughter, Anne. She dresses this way because she is Muslim. I'm glad she's Muslim. It has been very good for her." Hijab is a super dawah opportunity!

No there hair is not better than everyone elses, it's a matter of religion. Also about the Muslim woman who cover their face, yes there is a niqab(face veil) that covers your eyes too.Also why do so many people mind in Muslims women business and especially always judging there dress code? It is all a part of the Muslim religion.

The only thing is that they still get to fornicate and commit adultey under the hijabs. They do it a lot over her in Nigeria, The covered women in UAE I dont know about, but the men!!! ha sure they love to do a little sinning now and then!

Muslim women wear hijabs just to obey the orders/saying of Allah Almighty and Prophet (PBUH). Religion of Islam forbid Muslim women to go out without hijab. Hijab has no relation with fashion or any thing else.

It does seem a bit unfair that women have to cover themselves to protect themselves from Muslim men. Why can't the men just learn to respect women as they are and control themselves? Why do the women have to be punished because of the man's sin?

As to make it easier for men not to desires toward them ,,,,,, those days before Mohammad they had no respect for women ,

it is said : if you cant control yourself cover them ,,,,,different state of mind people are in different part of the world ,,,,,,, but now God wants all have one state of mind , respect as equal .

they cover their hair becuase the quran orders them to dress modestly and not to show off their beuty to any other men other than their realtives. i thoink the reason why some cover their faces is becuase they have more conservative views than others and view it neccesserry to cover their face
