Pappy is half right! A lapse in judgment had me in a restaurant in Hawaii where the waiters were nude. While the ladies seemed to relish the concept, I couldn't eat for looking for tiny curly hairs in the food. I mean the guy serving us was naked, what the heck did the kitchen staff look like?

Don't act like a fast food.
Encourage customers to stay and hang out.
Carry around a plate of sample appetizers on toothpics.
Food is one of your gimmicks for stimulating people to spend money in your restaurant.

What else? Great food is a MUST...otherwise, why bother to open a restaurant?
Other winning combination are great ambience, hospitable staff and reasonable pricing.

I began to offer free wireless internet in and around my resturant. It is an added expense, yes - but in my area (where free wireless is rare), it really brought more people in to sit, eat, and hang out.
