i know alot of muslim girls who wear a hijab and then wear make up, showing just their face. its stupid coz i dont know who they are trying to look attractive for since they aren't allowed to have dealings with the opp sex.

Maybe women want to look beautiful for themselves, not look attractive for men. See, it does not all go around being admired by someone, sometimes a woman needs to feel pretty and that's when she tries to look pretty.

Why are People so much concerned about Muslim Women wearing Hijab? Do they hurt you? Do they shock you, I think you have no concern with Muslim Women on Earth.
Hijab is Something ordained by Culture, go to countries like the UAE, Jordan, 95% of them are Muslims, but most of them doesn't wear Hijab and they are Muslims, Muslim Women wear Hijab in order to Protect theirselves from the Bad Attitude of the Modern Humanity, they can easily attract men if they don't wear Hijab and thereby causing Sexual Abuse or something illegal.
I think Muslim Women have the most ordained and good attitude, and they try to be Virgin untill they get married, and this what all World Religions wanted to have in their community, for say, Christianty also doesn't tolerate all this kind of Sex stuffs is just that the religion has now mixed up with Paganism that's why.
Yes, Every Muslim Women is suppose to make herself clean, clear, and not just live herself like someone who comes out from the bush... This question is not reasonable...

The purpose of the hijab (and the clothing that covers their bodies--often just trousers and a long-sleeved shirt--not necessarily a full burkha) is to dress with modesty, not to appear "unattractive."
Women in almost all cultures enjoy adorning themselves and feeling beautiful--in the context of their own culture. Since the face is uncovered in most Muslim cultures, women have the option to wear makeup (especially eye makeup) to enhance their looks. Also, they like to look nice in private, at home, when their hijabs come off. And "not dealing with the opposite sex" ONLY applies to men who are not their close relatives.

You may have your opinion, but so may everybody else. If any woman wants to put make up who are you, or anyone to question them? They are not hurting anyone. There are so many things in this world that we should be concerned with. I don't really know anything about the Muslim religion but let's be tolerate of others. And what's this about not wearing any makeup if you are a christian? Why are some people so narrow minded or so heavenly minded they are no earthly use.

They are allowed the frivolity, because the whole reason for the veil is so that no man except for her husband is allowed to see her face, so wearing make-up is okay because she is allowed to be attractive for her husband. But, this is only allowed in some cultures. Makeup is not allowed in all.

Does seem rather silly to us, I know. Some here have talked about how they might be trying to have pride in themselves, build up their self-esteem. Perhaps.
I'm still trying to figure out why any woman would choose to be a Moslem in the first place. Here in America, women do not have to consider themselves property. Sure, alot of gals abuse the freedoms we have...but at least, nobody is lining us up in some football field and shooting us down because our husbands aren't happy with us. Muslem women here can actually CHOOSE TO LEAVE ISLAM, and THEIR FAMILIES CANNOT KILL THEM!!! Yes, ladies, you can choose to convert to some other religion, or decide you don't want to belong to any religion at all, and nobody can hurt you...here, in America, we disapprove of murder...YES, EVEN THE MURDER OF WOMEN!!!!!!!!

That is probably their own business don't you think? Also as other's said most of them have husbands and it is their right to look pretty for them.

Maybe they do it to pamper themselves or look good for themselves and their husbands. To be honest it doen't really matter as long as they're happy and feel good about themselves!
