I think you should name the puppy something the puppy reminds you of. For example: My golden retriever is named Monster, because he is big and furry, and my Shih Tzu is named Murphy because he looks like this little stuffed animal dog that I have which is named Murphy (the real Murphy beats up the fake Murphy all the time) Otherwise here are some names I like:
Noodles (my favorite)
Blinky
Doggie
Chewy
Ducky
