When you have a moment of intense burning (pain maybe, but it feels more like increased heart rate and shortness of breath, maybe pressure) but it lasts for only a second (maybe less), can that also be a symptom of stress or anxiety or nervousness? Sometimes I get these but generally when I feel very nervous or anxious. Is this a sign of something bad or is it a symptom of my anxiety? Sorry for asking so many questions, but these are questions I have never had answered and need to understand to better understand what I may or may not have.

Some symptoms I have are a little lightheadedness, back pain (although I have been on a warped schedule and it usually takes me an hour or more to get to sleep and I toss and turn A LOT, and I mean *a lot*), shortness of breath, and I don't know if constant burping or swallowing qualifies but there's that too. I don't sweat though and my hands aren't clammy.

Yes this could be from anxiety. The light headedness, and excess swallowing from nervousness, and the shortness of breath from possibly hyperventilating from too much worry about the situation. Id say mild panic attack but the chest pressure with light headedness could mean worse. Id get an ekg and " get it off your chest".
