Possibly. But most likely they were a target because they were a big landmark and meant something to American people. Something that monkeys with guns/explosives could never hope to achieve.

Don't know about cheap, Larry Silverstein has been promised 4.6 billion bucks. But the buildings were, indeed, demolished. There is no way those skyscrapers dropped straight down into their own footprints in 11 seconds flat from the impact and ensuing fire. There were demolition charges placed throughout those buildings in the weeks before Sept 11, and the whole thing was an inside job. You people better wake up and recognize the real enemy of our people.

You can't be serious about this question. If you are you should have been one of the people who died for no reason. Terrorist drove two planes full of people and hundreds of people died. Why not try putting a dollar sign on each body then ask was it cheap. These were not military targets these people were just getting to work to earn a paycheck nothing else. You should also know that many of the people who died there were little children in a daycare facility. Please don't ask another stupid question like this there are people in this country who care about those who gave their lives trying to rescue others that were in this inferno you call "ugly skyscrapers". May You sleep well while others are still crying over this. Where is your human loyalties?

Who the hell are you to ask a question like that about such a tragedy?

I think you should be put in a straight jacket in Gitmo with your eyelids cut off so you can't close them, and TVs surrounding you showing you the images of September 11th 24 hours a day, while you get spoon fed oatmeal once a day for the rest of your life.

Maybe then you can grasp the meaning of what happened there, you terrorist loving bastard.

As for the rest of you

GOD BLESS AMERICA

The price of 9/11 is way to high for us to grasp. Not just in the loss of human lives on that day but in the repercussions of that day. Like the war in Iraq and the hatred towards Muslims of the world.

Your question is not even remotely funny. I suggest you grow up and learn the meaning of compassion.

it sure wasnt cheap to many many people!! but as we all know that larry silverstein the world trade centre's land lord got a $3.5 billion insurance policy agaisnt terrorist attacks a few weeks before 9-11 he with his own mouth admitted that he told the FIRE FIGHTERS to (pull it)let me break it down for ya, he claims that the fire fighters told him that the fire was so wild in WTC 7 that there was no way they could distinguish it and he said well, pull it then!! pull it is a control demolition term for take it down. how the hell could fire fighters take down a building????
obviously that conversation never happened. first off the fire wasnt that big i've seen many videos not to mention that it wasnt even hit by any thing no one knows where the fire came from.
second of all the building went down in a control demolition fashion there is no doubt about that and silverstein doesnt argue the fact that it went down with explosives.
to do a control demolition operation it takes weeks to plant the explosives in the building! so there was no frigging way that the decision was made on 9/11 the bombs were obviously planted way before 9/11.
and same goes for the twin towers!!
i'm sure that the bloody terrorists flew planes into the building we all seen that, but the collapse raises too many questions that our government failed to give us a logical explanation for them.
it is obviouse!! the government had prior knowledge of the event andf didnt do **** about it. evidence was destroyed and it sickens me!!!!!! damn it.
and guess what mr silverstein did??!! he demanded double the insurance which is $7 billions coz there was 2 terrorist attacks on his property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how nice of him!!

You are jerk. You are a terrorist sympathizer and like others have said....heartless and cruel.
Why don't you go to Iraq and volunteer your services to Osama and his lot. Maybe they'd do you a favor and behead you on Al Jazeera.
