I do really like your husbands idea. But there are many other names that sound good with Nathan. Like Nathan Scott. Or Nathan Andrew.

I can't really answer this since I'm not sure if Nathan is the first, middle or last name. However, I will say that If Nathan is the first name, I say NO to Nicholas for a middle name...too hard to say....I like the name Heather D suggested: Nathan Lane...it does roll off the tongue quite nicely.

Nicholas is cute! I named my son Ashton Presley. my sister is naming hers Parker. She is six months also. We like the names maximus, Preston, Samuel, Trevor, and my favorite is price Edward. I got the price from my maiden name and then the middle from my fiance's name. Try using some of the men in your family's names or your maiden name maybe for a middle name.

Nick Nathan? Sounds utterly cool in a kind of dashing ace reporter kind of way.
Thomas would work - again giving a solid sort of hero-in-waiting kind of feel. Jack, Samuel, and I guess most traditional names that don't end in an "n".
