I can't believe how much Gordon slagged off his fellow chefs... unless they have some prior arranged argreement or something, I think it's outrageous. Anything to gain popularity. Was impressed though that he managed to get Cliffe to say ****. I still like Gordon despite doing anything for his popularity and swearing. He has a certain "Je m'appelle" about him. Any thoughts?

The thing is that Essex boys have such attitude that it takes someone like Gordon to put them in their place. Before anyone gets upset by that comment I am 30 years old, born and lived in Essex so I do know what they are like, wide boys!! My other half is a fine dining chef and the way they run the kitchen is very military, so it is really disrespectful to call your head chef MATE, it took me a long while to understand the workings of a kitchen and that junior chef's must show the right sort of attitude. The guys he were working with last night put themselves up for that and knew he would be swearing and putting them under pressure like that. Strange but true!!

I think he is very funny even though he does say the 'f' word a lot-- thats what makes him a celeb in the kitchens.

He is a well respected man surely thats something to be proud of? Although did u notice he didn't swear in front of his children? there is a certain amount of control and being a chef is very frustrating at the best of times. He has to let it out somewhere!!

I am watching next weeks cos i love geremy clarkson too

Yeah watched it. Those guys were taking the p**s though. They had no idea. Love Gordon, love Cliff and cant stand Janet SP. I think it is hysterical though that Gordon loses to the celebs. Love the idea that the pigs are called Trinny and Suzanna.

I think Gordon puts it on a bit for the cameras but he is entertaining. I think Cliff came out of it well (even if he was tricked into slagging off his own wine).

I suspect he does it a bit of acting up for the camera, he has a reputation for swearing, as do a few other chefs, and he wants to be seen as the kitchen hard man. If it gets the best out of his cooks then fine, as long as he let's them know that's all it is and nothing personal.

Yeah i saw it...was also doubled up when Sir CLiff said 'crap'....nearly switched off when Janet StreetPorter was on though as can't stand her voice, but managed to stay tuned.
I feel so sorry for the chefs who have to work with Ramsay....I love him to bits but sometimes theres no need for the things he does/says....

It was good but he did say the F word too much. Its good that he educates his children about farm animals & how they will eventually end up on there kitchen table as lunch !
