Me and some friends want to take a road trip to Canada. We were just wondering what the legal drinking age is?
Also we heard that you can't bring a carton of cigarettes into Canada because they search your whole car and suitcase?

In Quebec, which is really the place to go, the drinking age is 18. Most other provinces, 19. I think Alberta might be 18 as well.

A whole carfull of people with one carton of cigarettes should be fine. They can indeed search your whole car though.

They won't search your car unless you give them a reason to, same as travelling to the States.

Drinking age in most provinces is actually 19, although there are a couple where it's 18.

BC: 19
Alberta: 18
Saskatchewan: 19
Manitoba: 19
Ontario: 19
Quebec: 18
Newfoundland & Labrador: 19
New Brunswick: 19
Nova Scotia: 19
Prince Edward Island: 19

The Yukon and Northwest Territories, well, I'm not sure, but nobody really goes there anyways!

it varies from each province the drinking age. But it's either 18 or 19.

If you seem suspicious then yes you'll be searched. But no, customs doesn't search...at least as far as I know.

the legal drinking age, at least in toronto, is 19. and you can take tobacco across the border if it is intended for your own personal use, but not for resale.
