Cats do have different personalities, just tike people.
I've had cats literally my whole life. Some are cuddlers, and some aren't.
With the face that she's a kitten, she may warm up to the idea of snuggling with you. Believe me, you can't force them.
I currently have 5 indoor cats (indoor cats are the only ones who are truly safe and loved in my opinion).
One is a total snuggler (when SHE wants to). She's the baby (6 years old.)
The others are between 8 and 10 years old and males.
Two like to snuggle occassionally - again on their terms. Usually at night, in bed. They are both VERY demanding and protective of me other times.
Two are pretty much independent. Will come around sometimes for tummy rubs and ear scratches, but other than that, do their own thing. And these two do NOT like being picked up!

No 2 kittens are the very same. Your roommate's kitten is the weird and wonderful one, haha. Your kitten is performing completely time-honored, that's merely what they do even as they are little. No, do not problem, he's not any longer scared. he takes area in only fantastic! some cats do merely not opt to cuddle. that is of their personality. would not advise you should love him any a lot less. even as he cuddles and spends time by utilizing you, provide him a set of cat treats. He would commence to warmth as a lot as you if he can associate you with something strong. nutrients works miracles in guidance canine & cats! also, do not stress him to sit down by utilizing you. that's merely utilizing him away. you quite in many circumstances enable HIM come to YOU. in case you're trying to puppy him, or %. him up, he will be worried, and stumble on trouble-free methods to stay faraway from you. Play with him utilizing a fishing-pole type toy. The sticks with the stuff or strings on the ends. That way, it really is trouble-free to bond, yet he can take his time with how close he needs to get to you, and how quickly. All in strong time, pricey. merely be affected man or woman!

Kittens tend to be real playful at this age - tell me about it, we have a litter of six at the moment! Phew - they are all over the place! Anyway, out of the six there is only one which really seems to want to sit on you and cuddle up to your neck. However, we have had loads of kittens over the past few years and so long as you play with them and give them lots of attention and affection, as they grow they will develop a liking for sitting on your lap, plodding like a kitten, purring and generally cuddling with you! It won't be long, I promise. Just keep up the good work!!

She's little and wants to play and explore around your home. She will grow more accustomed to you with time, and maybe when she's a bit older and calmer she will become a lap cat and enjoy being cuddled. It shouldn't be taken as an insult- play with her and show her you love her in other ways than trying to cuddle her.

My kitten is 6 months old and still doesn't like being held or cuddled.

kittens are not instinctively used to affection. If you want your cat to be cuddley for life, you must hold & cuddle your kitten all the time, even if he doesn't want to. Just handle him heaps, pick him up alot & if he struggles just talk in a soothing voice & calm him down. He will become an affectionate and friendly cat. If you leave him alone now he will be anti-social.

Give her some time. My cat now is 10 weeks old, and it's just now getting lovable. For the first week (7weeks old) I had him, he would stay hidden and only come out at night to eat. Now we can't get away from him. He even takes a bath or shower with me if he manages to sneak in the bathroom.

Just give her some time. She will warm up to you. Although I have found over the years that male cats are more lovable than female cats.

She might take a long time adjusting. When we got our new kitten, she was so little, she only liked me for the first few days, and then my husband....the kids took about 2 weeks for her to get used to them. LOL Give her time, and make sure you dont do anyting to frighten her more. Just be careful of your movements around her, and be as gentle as you can with her, and she will get used to you. Just done force her to sit with you, that will only make it harder for her to get used to you. Try to sneak up on her when she is sleeping and pet her gently, and gradually start to sit along side of her. Cats are very picky and funny animals.....its their way, or no way! LOL

Good Luck!!

Kittens take a while to settle down and you have to be persistent. She'll cuddle plenty with you when she is past the most active stage.

Well it could be that she is scared of her new surroundings, perhaps she is not ready to be touched or loved yet. Let her know that you are her "Lover" and when you give her her food make sure she see's that you are feeding her. Or another way is to go out a buy a long pole like stick and at the end is some feathers, my cat loves to play with that. Hopefully that helps!
