Yep, I'd do it. I've been certified since I was 11, so that's... 27 years.
Of course, when I was 11, I didn't weigh enough to perform the act, but, I've always lived to be the hero. I've saved two children from drowning, and one (my own daughter) from being hit by a car. I've never been afraid of blood and guts (I've seen enough of my own), and my clearest moments are usually when someone is in need of help. The last time I took CPR was when my father was terminal with cancer. He signed a DNR form, which means Do Not Resuscitate. Big waste of time for me. A couple of months after Dad died, Mom had an implantable defibrillator put into her. So, why have I been taking these classes my whole life? Is there some unwritten rule that says after you get certified, you can't use the skills? I dunno. Mom's still more active than me, I guess we'll find out when the battery on that damn thing gives out.
Grant G: The purpose of chest compressions is to circulate blood. The purpose of breathing is to oxygenate the blood, so it does some good.
Everyone else (not gonna read through the rest): If you haven't taken the classes, DON'T PERFORM CPR!

Yes, no problem. However, I'd probably defer to my wife if she's with me because she's worked as an ER nurse.
We were the first persons on the scene of an accident once. Because of my wife's background, she took charge until emergency medical personnel arrived. We stabilized everyone. No CPR needed, though.

If there's lots of blood and stuff, I'm not gonna put my mouth on them... if I recall correctly it was recently proven that the mouth-to-mouth doesn't really do anything, but the chest compressions are where you should concentrate.
Correct me if I'm wrong/made that up. :)
EDIT: I still would be cautious of m2m just for fear of contracting something.
Now that I think about it, I think it might be a bad idea for me to try CPR until I go through the training again, cuz I'm a lot bigger and stronger than I was when I first learned it (in scouts), and I'd be afraid of breaking their ribs. :o
I'm not a scaredy cat, I'm just afraid of accidentally hurting someone. :D

If it was an ugly person I'd be like ewww no way, but if it was a hot sexy hunk, I would give him CPR and some tongue action in a heartbeat!
