Tell your brother that Play Doh isn't food for anyone. Play doh is non-toxic. I think you dog will be fine. It should just "pass" through him. He may get an upset tummy and/or be a bit more thirsty than normal.

What are the ingredients in PLAY-DOH compound?

The exact ingredients of PLAY-DOH compound are proprietary, so we cannot share them with you. We can tell you that it is primarily a mixture of water, salt and flour. It does NOT contain peanuts, peanut oil, or any milk byproducts. It DOES contain wheat.

PLAY-DOH compound is non-toxic, non-irritating & non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product.

There is no MSDS sheet required for PLAY-DOH compound.

Very good answers so far! I agree that he should be okay. Play-Doh is non-toxic, though I see from a previous post that it can cause allergic reactions, so definitely watch for those. That can happen in dogs, too.

Also, watch him closely for a couple of days and make sure that he is still 'pooping' and eating. Literally, watch for the PlayDoh to come out. If he starts to throw up large amounts and/or often, refuses to eat food or drink water, and doesn't seem to be able to poop, then take him to the vet *just in case* it does harden and get stuck...

Good luck to you!

Play doh is non poisonous. I'm pondering your puppy can be ok. He could get an disappointed belly or whatever although. To be at the nontoxic part I'd name your vet or an emergency vet if it is after hours. Hope this is helping. Good success.

Did the dog actually eat it?? Anyway, it;s best to ask the vet on the phone, he won't charge you, but will tell you what to do. I don't suppose it's toxic, if it is made for kids, but it could cause stomach problems if he can't pass it, indigestion or constipation etc.

Play-Doh is nontoxic. Your dog should be fine unless he ate an insane amount of it.

Your dog will be fine. Just remember to take a camera with you tomorrow when the dog goes potty for blackmail photos of the technicolor poopies!
