well, good question.. its the problem with most people.... Here i can suggest a few tips..
* Be yourself
* Maintain an inner glow
* Never be pessimistic , be optimistic
* Highlight your plus points than your negatives
* God has created us, He may have some plans on us
"the best way to get a friend is to be one"... love others without expecting returns... Its not your body size that matters, but what matters is how big your mind is.... I will be your true friend ...

Friends won't judge you on your physical appearance.....you must love your other attributes that make people warm to you.

Concentrate on your intelligence, kindness, wit and humour, good conversation, general knowledge and advice, helpfulness and generosity, non judgemental attitude....these are all the reasons that people warm to someone and I'm sure they shine in you.

Greet the day and everyone you meet with a great big smile and people will think what a positive and upbeat person you are and your size won't even be something they can see.

PS - 60 pounds is a terrific effort

A true friend will not judge you by your size. Keep positive. Just keep being a good person and show self confidence. Congratulations on the weight loss!!!

Are you on myspace? You can search there for people like you in your area. Try finding some weight loss buddies there or on craigslist.org. Then you know you can trust them not to judge you and you might make some great friends. Congrats on the weight loss! I know from personal experience that it is hard to lose so much weight.

Congrats on the weight loss!

As for the issue of making friends, I think it has more to do with the fact that you "beat yourself up" than your weight. People want to be around happy, positive people who have a lot going for them, regardless of their size.

Well if you know you do that to yourself, then why don't you stop. Unless you have a medical promblem; which causes you to be over weight, then no I don't feel for you. In the meant ime, Open your mouth and start talking, and stick with the diet program, and excerise.

I get the feeling as if youre searching for the wrong type of freeinds, ones that will judge by size and not personality, its not a matter of how to get them to be your freinds it's more of a question if your allowing them to be your freinds .

Very simple......these are few recommendable steps :

1.Be yourself.....
2.Always be cheerful.....
3.Take part in social activities....
4.Join sports activities as well.....
5.Listen to your heart.......
6.Be friendly towards anyone....
7.Be creative......
8.Say hello and thanks whenever necessary.......
9.Lend some hand to anyone who needs help......
10.Be positive.....

Judging someone by their size is not right.....
You definitely do not deserve a friend whom concern negatively about your size......
Do not go to their world......make them come to your part of world.....
Its not necessary for you to become like them or them to become like you......
Difference among people is what makes them to become good friends.....thats what i believe......
Good Luck!!!
