There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me is...

(L)isten: and Validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Love is a choice... one where we decide to put the other person's interests and needs in front of our own... to make sacrifices for them. Just because we are attracted to someone who is hot it does not mean that we have love.

i've been there... attracted to guys because they are hot. but that's not love. when i was in that place in my life i was infatuated with different guys very very quickly. and the flings lasted just about as long. i got nothing out of them that was a benefit to me ... or really made me a better person. in the end i felt lonelier than I had before because I had a empty non existent (really) relationship with someone who really didn't love me... and honestly i didn't love that person either........ if you are looking for love you gotta start someonewhere other than with your hot bod. go for the soul. find someone who is attracted to you because of what is inside of you.... because of your LOVE for others, your passion for life, your humor, thoughtfulness, gentleness and more... then you will find love.

i eventually did find someone i was very attracted to from teh first moment i met him. and the more i got to know him and his soul the more i grew to eventually love him. don't confuse love with attraction. when you get both it rocks!
