I already own a Ruger P97DC in .45auto, and a Hi-Point 9mm...
I really want another 9mm just because of how cheap the ammo is...I found some on sale for $4.99 a box for blazer, and for california and just about anywhere really, thats freakin great!
So the S&W Sigma 9VE is $299, and the S&W Model 910 is $499 I believe, both are good guns, obviously the sigma is really cheap compared to most handguns...
Which should I get, OR should I consider another 9mm semiauto for uner $500?

Try a Springfield XD in 9mm. I have one in .45 acp and love it. I have put 4000 rounds through it in a month and hasn't failed yet. I have tried every type of round I can get my hands on and have yet to have a failure to feed or a misfire. Springfield has several different combinatios, 3" subcompact, 4" inch and 5" inch barrel lenghts. Every one has a built in accesory rail. In which many other manufatures cost extra for that feature. Just a little advice. Gunbroker.com has several auctions for they many configurations for under $500.

I had a first generation Sigma 9mm that was totally unreliable. I just can't recommend them. The Ruger, on the other hand, makes a good nine. I've found the old Model P-89 totally reliable. This is the one I would recommend of what you've mentioned. Best. H
