it doesnt matter if shes atheist, all i care is the love that i have for her.
i will not force my belief on her. i just want to be with her for the rest of my life. we'll have our own belief... and that is LOVE.
any advice ?
am a christian, atheists advice is more crucial here. serious answers only please.

i dont think that way ed. as you can see,
im not the stereotype christian . am an open and broad minded guy. i do respect
people if they're deserving. the only thing that pisses me is whenever someone, of any belief insults or make fun of others. there alfred newman was born.i dont shove my belief on someone elses throat. and now, youre one of those that definitely deserve respect. ill give what you deserve by not using alfred sawyer anymore.
thank you.

Hi,
I gave a good long answer to your similar question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsP_SkkwICuDxeleGSvgMorsy6IX?qid=20060627234650AAFDvap
Most of that applies here too. The important point to repeat is that, as you're the theist, your conception of God is more important. If you truly believe that your God will send the girl you love to hell, then you need to question your religious beliefs. If you don't, then sooner or later you'll either leave her or try to convert her. This is completely unfair. If, however, you believe in a God that sends people to heaven or hell based not on what they think but on what they do - if you believe in a God that can accept good atheists - then there should be no problem.

You need clear your heart and mind of any thought that she is any less spiritual or righteous than you.
If you are a Christian, then you should understand that Jesus died for the sin of the world, not just for a few. He made belief a law, and then fulfilled it - took the punishment for it.
So, all is done. Anyone trying to gain favor with God through works or faith, is ignoring the total work of Jesus.
You two are the same. It is the people who are under fear and guilt of sin that no longer exists - they are the ones that need to be saved- from their own mindsets.

If you are both respectful of each other, I can't see there would be any problems. Relationship is all about compromise. Just consider how important your beliefs are because if you end up having a family together you will realize just how strongly you do feel about certain things.
Just tell her how you feel and if you both truly love each other you'll be fine.
Best of luck to you both!

I think it 's important to be on the same page when it comes to things like religious beliefs. I'd cool down and think it through a little more. You might be better as friends and you might find someone more suited to you for a life time relationship.

if you are willing to completely look past your religion to be with her, then you're probably gonna be fine. but I'd still be careful. as an agnostic myself, religious beliefs being pushed on me really sets me off. you have to be willing to accept that she'll never believe in god and she should have the right to voice her opinion as you should too.

In Life you have to remeber that theres someone for everyone and if you feel it in your heart and you know that its true than tell her spell your thoughts and feelings out to her let her know that you know whats her fears, strenghts, and how much you mean to her and in the end if its meant to be it will happen.

Don't. Simple as that. I have christian friends and I don't expect them to tell me they're not going to force their views on me, I just let them know it's annoying if they do. Wether or not they *tell* me what they're going to do has absolutely 0 effect on my feelings about them, it's their actions that effect that.

I wouldn't even bring up religion, it could seed problems, I would simply tell her you love her, propose, do everything normally, just don't force marriage in a christian church etc.

you know, realistically, it can bring up many issues depending on your intentions- marriage, kids- do they go to a public school or a religious based one? what about morals? not that atheists and christians can't have the same morals, but do you?
but talk about it with her seriously, she needs to give you her opinion and you need to giver her yours

if ya'll respect one another then thats all that matters. you don't force your beliefs on her and vice versa. if she wants to be with you she'll understand. Just tell her how much you love her and thats all you care about.
