or in fact NO budget, besides TV?
I watch too many movies for escapism because i cant go out or accept invitaions for outings and nights out, Its depressing when my new other half talks about his life and where he;s been and what he's done, it all sounds so foreign to me, i grew up poor and am living poor, I'm a single mum, I amuse the kids, plenty of free stuff for them, the beach, park, garden etc...but me? i feel like a nobody, never flown, nver been abroad, cant do clubs/sports or anything invovling money, people always say picnics or park jogging and such but i want a social life, lights action, fun. AARRGGH! seems like life is ticking by without me. I'm late 30's amd BORED with the monotony

Doing something that encourages you to interact with others might be a good idea. For example, cooking. You can cook something fun with your kids, like homemade pizza (even toddlers can help). Shop, cook, and then eat together. Or, you can cook and then have people (adult friends) over for a dinner or just a potluck. You have to spend money on food anyway, so you might as well make it your entertainment as well!

If you have someone to watch the kids for a week or longer, there are lots of women's travel groups (you can search online), but they are expensive. :( Maybe a local women's hiking/shopping/quick coffee group?

Join a book club. My mom plays Bunko every Friday night with a group of girls. And she plays in a bridge club once a month. The only thing she has to take to those are an appetizer or bottle of wine and herself. A friend of mine recently invited me to a book club and I've met quite a few new girls that are fun to talk to. Find an organization that has the same views as you and volunteer your time. You get to meet new people, have grown up conversations and help change the world in a small way. And sometimes the volunteers are invited to big shindig fund raisers.

Do things with your other half. Doing things alone is no longer an option cos your are married. Go for a holiday with your family. You have children to take care of.....don't run off at night. Be a responsible mom. When they are grown probably you can go have your fun.

Church. Some churches have activities going on 7 nights a week. Lots of fun and stuff for free.

Go rob a bank or steal someone's lottery ticket. If you get caught, there will be plenty of action when you go through the court system.

Believe Me.
