The first 10 are pretty good. I would also add the 11th and 12th:
"Thou shalt not bring up my name 20 times a day."
"Thou shalt not proselytize and threaten damnation when thy neighbor doesn't agree."

I think the 10 we now have cover it. Maybe people don't take into account the explanation of each commandment. Such as: Thow Shall not steal. Naturally, this means not to take /steal something from someone..stealing a car, stealing money, taking household items, etc.etc. It also means to be honest in business like: not returning the change a cashier gives you when it is more than it should be (something costs $8.00 you pay for it with a 10.00 dollar bill but the cashier gives you $5.00 in return. or not bringing it to the cashier's attention if he/she failed to charge you for it. At a persons job he/she is being paid to DO the the job. Not to have unfinished work yet to do but talk idly on the phone, take an extended lunch break, sleep on the job.etc..The employer hired the person with the understand that the employee was to work and not to mess around on the job. Some of the "non work" things done on the job are excusable but the duties of the job, finishing the task, should come first..

If by "write" God meant "take down what I say," I would simply do it and see what happens when I try to announce the new commandments to the world. If God meant that I should come up with the substance of the new commandments, I would question whether I was really communicating with God.

not sure what's missing from the original - especially since the Master Yeshua Messiah said I am not here to change the law, but to fullfill it. If he didn't.....
The Master expounded on the individual laws with rich parables, and there's still so much to learn just from those.
Perhaps Thou Shalt study with genuine care, and won't teach hate from what you learn, and Understand and Follow that there is a Bigger picture, and you must explain and teach what God has taught you with Love.
The story is ours - but written by God, for us, played out by us, and ultimately for God, and us, as God's creation, as well as the earth,

I don't think God would ever ask me to, he already wrote the 10 Commandments Thousands of years ago.

The bible says that God's laws are perfect, refined seven times. We are imperfect humans beings and we would not be able to improve upon what God has already written. He has said it all.
