Under the RICO ACT the federal justice system secured the list of names of all the known sexual offenders in the Boston Archidiocese that the Catholic Church had covered-up, aided and abetted for decades, centuries.

Sexual predators that do not have the protection of the Catholic Church spend decades in prison and when they are released they are included for life in the Sexual Offenders List and their whereabouts are always known to the neighbors and the local autorities.

That is a serious question. I think about the poor 18 year old guys who got caught with their 17 year old girlfriends. This is a very bull-headed move, right or wrong.

They most certainly should. The Rc church have got away for centuries covering up and protecting their pedophile priests and nuns. It is the best job in the world to go for if you are a sexual pervert, that is how I now look at ALL catholic priests and nuns.
I know of the horrors that these wicked people do and get away with. I have met people who have the most horrific stories to tell of both RC priests and nuns, the wickedness and cruelty of these people is no different to the Germans during WW2. In fact Hitler was a Rc and so were the vast majority of the SS.
I bet Rcs think that the pope is a virgin!
You will now get people coming on here and telling you that they are not all like that and how good they are really!
They refuse to believe that their priests are wicked and make every excuse for them too!

I don't think anyone should be spared jail time and being placed on the sexual predators list, even clergy. I say clergy because I include all religious leaders. Actually the law should come down harder on these individuals as they are the heads of the church!! They know what they are doing is wrong more so than a lot of other criminals - why treat them any less harshly? Jesus condemns any sex outside of the marriage and in Biblical times people doing such deeds were stoned to death so there you have how serious God feels about this issue.

I would have to say yes and for a very good reason. The United States of America does not recognize any one religion as the sovereign religion of the state. In this nation a RC bishop is just as accountable for his crimes as an average citizen. Many states already have Megan's law web pages, and I believe in going one step further, force the petifiles in the church to file on both the Federal AND the State registries. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander, and the laws of this nation does not recognize your religious affiliation as being a safe haven from the law, regardless of status or office.

For those calling Samian a liberal, I actually have considered his responses in both politics and faith for your time now. i'd project he's middle-proper on some themes and middle-left on others. he's by no skill an extremist. it is a demanding question, in view that my brother's daughter became molested. I favor I had an organization answer yet I lean in the course of unconstitutional, corresponding to that teach-off choose many years in the past in FL who made DUI offenders interest bumperstickers. and that i do not drink.

YES! And, the local registry, as well. It is completely absurd, that the law is such. But, I bet I know why. The Catholic Archidiocese has money and power.

Of course they should be included. Anyone who commits a crime against an innocent child should be exposed to the general public so they can be known to us all. Why should their identity be protected after they have taken the innocence of a child.

I whole heartedly believe they should be included. Just because they "hide" behind a church, doesn't make them above the law.
