Religion isn't really Faith in God. People can be super religious and not have a clue who God is.

It sometimes is difficult to find the one loving God in a strictly religious church. Religion is the works done. Faith is in the relationship.

It is by Grace we are saved and not by works lest anyone boasts. It is the free gift of God, through faith.

The Good News message is restoration with God. It's a relationship. After saved by God's grace, the works (religion) that we do is rooted is our love for God.

My feeling is that all religions are good, but not all of them can be correct; otherwise they would all teach the same doctrines. I believe that God loves us and wants us to know the truth about Him, so He sends prophets to teach us. However, he also gives us the free agency to believe what we want to, whether it be right or wrong.

If God expected us to invent our own ideas about Him, and worship accordingly, you would have about six billion unorganized religions. This would seem too chaotic to be established by God.

The truth about God can only be found from one source: His appointed messengers (the prophets). And although God has sent many prophets, at various times and in various places, their teachings must be cohesive and unified into one true doctrine. If people from all over the world are to believe this one true doctrine, they too must be unified into one true faith. This supports the idea of organized religion.

The problem that faces each and every one of us, then, is discovering which religion contains the truth. Which religion is God's religion? Which religion has been revealed to us from prophets of God? That is the one we must follow.

Whatever happens in the end, I believe God will take all things into consideration, and will reward us for our diligent efforts to follow Him, whether we find the truth in this life or in the next.

I think that it is possible for some organized religions to hurt the idea of one loving God, but these are usually from people who have their own interests at heart and are not truly religious. The Baha'i faith says that if religion causes disharmony then the absence of relgion is preferred.

I hope not to push any beliefs upon you, so please don't take my post the wrong way, but I would like to share a couple of quotes that summarize a few of our beliefs. These are all from Baha'u'llah.

"The religion of God is for love and unity; make it not the cause of enmity or dissension."

"Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship."

"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illumine the whole earth."

"Arts, crafts, and sciences uplift the world of being, and are conducive to its exaltation. Knowledge is as wings to man's life, and a ladder for his ascent."

Yes. Especially when Christian churches teach that law and sin can seperate you from God. This is very ANTI-Christ!!

You are inseperable. No matter what you do or believe.

No. Organised religion is for people who can’t think for themselves. So they need some help and it’s good for them. People who can think don’t need it and they won’t have anything to do with it. Note also that people who are against organised religion follow ((their own)) "organised religion."
