I know all the typical wedding favors out there, but i was wondering if anyone has heard or used any totally origional ideas before. I want my guests to walk away with something they really like, not the typical mini candy bars or cameras.

Depending on what kind of wedding you are having there are a lot of really neat things you could do. I was orginally planning my wedding for October and our favors were going to be gormet carmel apples. Now we are having a winter wedding, and we are using ice scrapers. If you had a small wedding, or a big budget, you could give everyone a sack that was filled with yours and your fiances favorite items. Or if you wanted to do something that was by the ocean or lake, or something like that, you could decoarate with beta fishes in the vases, and have an adoption area. That way guests could take home their fish. Or you could get some circle containers that were filled with confetti pieces (not the shapes and stuff, but just like glass or mirrored squares) and put pieces in those contains and write the guests names on them, and they could be used as seating card, and then double as paper weight. You could also do very personal favors if your wedding isn't to large and write a personal note to each guest. Thanking them for coming, or even talking about some greats times that you two had had growing up or something. I hope these help.

Wedding favors are for all guests or non at all. Traditionally, a thank you gift is given to each member of the wedding party. Favors are not necessary. This is a fairly recent phenomenon. I had a very nice wedding with all the trimmings so if favors had been the "in' thing back then, I would have had them. A party favor or party favour is a small gift given to the guests at a party as a gesture of thanks for their attendance, a memento of the occasion, or simply as an aid to frivolity.

Small lacey round doillies filled with Jordan mints and tied with satin ribbon and silk flowers. Some can be wrapped bag style or fan shaped. I had only 30 guests at my wedding, so I was able to personally make these.
Afterwards, a cousin made a shadow box and included the lace doillie, silk flowers and invitation as a keepsake.

I think we're going to do CDs...with a few songs from the ceremony, a few good love songs and a few that mean a lot to us and our relationship.

I have heard of people having the jordan mints (Mint to be together), caramel apples, miniature cakes, can cozies, mini Eiffel Towers, candles, etc.

I was at a wedding where everyone got a different pez despenser.

I always thought there was something fun about the seed paper where you could print some happy wedding message on it and than everyone one could go home and have some flowers from it.

Original cookies with a recipe card attached. Or pezz dispenser. Or a framed picture of the new couple.

http://www.kustomkoozies.com/

You can order custom can coolers with your name and wedding date on them, then buy your favourite kind of canned pop and put it in each one. That way your guests get the can cooler which they can use again and a can of you and your husbands fav kind of pop. You could also put in canned beer, buts thats more expensive.
