Like the computer scanner? I would say it is very safe. I am sure it has a millionth of the power of an xray or ct scan.
Gee, what else do you worry about?

Hello
I suggest you run some tests with Advanced WindowsCare 1.8(freeware) on your system. It should solve or suggest something to fix your problem. If it doesn't just back up your data and reinstall Windows. You must perform a new, clean install and format your system hard drive (just drive C: for example)

it uses a florescent light. Are you under one now? Likely you are.
so are you safe where you are sitting? or under any florescent light? Well, it's the same. answer, yes it is safe as the office light.

A canner is merely a light that passes over - you can scan you hand, it is safe.

I hope so, I have done it for art projects. It was a "handy" shortcut.
