You spell quite well!
%%%First of all check out three books from the library about dogs and dog training. When talking with your mom, just bring up casually something that you just learned from the books.
%%%Ask her if you can volunteer at your local shelter to help dogs, and learn more. (most shelters have a petting room, or a dog walking program, and need volunteers to just give animals attention)
%%%Study the books about choosing the right breed for your family, and comment on this often to her.
%%%Ask if you can give a dog from the shelter foster care for a week to see how a dogs fits in your family
%%%Do ALL chores as soon as asked
%%% Keep your room clean, and show that you are growing up and accepting responsibility.
But, you need to remember that your mom is the one who will have to pay for the dog's food and vet visits, so it is really her descision.

Being from the south is NO REASON for bad spelling!
I grew up in the south.
Anyways, you moms deceision to get or not to get you a puppy could be for a few reasons.
1...Where do you live?...In an Apartment? Thats not the best place to have a puppy...The Landlord might want a Deposit $$$ Where I live, you have to give a $300.00 NON-REFUNDALBE deposit..meaning you don't get it back.
2.Cost of a puppy...Shots, food, toys,,,REPLACING THE STUFF THE PUPPY CHEWS..
3..Also, lets not forget the duties YOU would have to do.
FEED the puppy.
WALK the puppy after it eats...so it don't poop or pee on the floor or carpet (rug).
You WILL have to walk the dog RAIN OR SHINE!
4. Your age might have something to do with it also.
Maybe your mom might not think your old enough or responsible enough.
5...Do better in spelling....that could be a goal for you.
Make your mama proud and maybe she just might surprize you!

How about starting out with some kind of pet that does not require so much attention and care first.
How about a fish, or hamster. Show her that you can be responsible for this kind of pet first. Which means taking care of all its needs, and learning how to train it.
Then when you have proven you are responsible enough to do this she might consider letting you have a puppy.
A puppy is a huge responsibility, they have to be housebroken which means taking them outside to potty very often, and consistantly. And when they do have an accident, clean up afterwards. They need to be obedient trained, there are lots of classes for this.
The puppy has to be trained, exercised, and fed every single day. And until it is housebroken, it will have to be taken out, many, many times a day on a regular schedule.
Depending on your age you could volunteer at a pet shelter to find out just what you are getting into.
You can also be a foster home for dogs from different rescue organizations.
And you need to talk to your mom and ask her what it is you need to do to prove to her that you are responsible enough to have a dog.
If and when she says yes, you will need to research different breeds of dogs and see which one would best suit your lifestyle and living arrangments.
I would suggest one that does not require alot of grooming, this will cut down on costs and also be easier for you to take care of.
I was 15 before I ever got my first dog.

A puppy is a huge responsibility. Cleaning and massages are not exactly ways that show the responsibility you have to care for a puppy. You may need to think about the overall aspect of owning a puppy. You will need to clean up after it, feed it, exercise with it, not to mention the huge amout of training your puppy will need. You need to talk it over with your mother. Massages are not responsible. You may not be ready.

just cuz you clean don't mean that you can take care of a dog, you need to make up your mind that you will do all the hard work and then convince her that you will be doing all of the work and not her, make sure she knows you will clean the yard, feed it, play with it, not just ignore it to go with your friends or nothing,,,, maybe mow some lawns or do some babysitting jobs to raise some money and offer to help pay for the dog, or buy the food and stuff,,,,,, this will show her that you spent the time raising the money just to pay for the dogs expenses and you at least have some responsibility and it will show that you really want it.............say look mom, i have even raised money to buy puppy food and puppy toys, please please please....
lol hope i helped later =o)

i agree no one can change her mind but her and yes raising the money for all the expences on your own would help too. and you could possably start smaller ask her to make a deal with you to get you a hamster or guina pig to start off with and if in six months she has not had to take care of it and its still alive. then get you a puppy. oh and do your reserch on breeds and make sure your not getting a dog that takes too much matenice that way it will be easyer for you to actually stick with it.

No one here can tell you how to make your Mom change her mind no matter how many times you ask this question. You will just have to give Mom time and show patience. That is probably what she is actually looking for now.

Convince her that you'll be responsible for everything the puppy needs from vaccinations, baths, toys, walks, visits to the vet, etc... Keep showing her that you're responsible.

Just be honest with your mom and tell her your true feelings. You can never go wrong sharing your heart! :0) Open to her and let her know how important it would be for you to have a friend you can count on....
