My fiance has been in jail for the past 5 months and we have no clue how long he has left and he is my life and I miss him so much and I have the worst problem sleeping now and feel so alone, How can I make my days go by faster and things I can do to not think about him or get me in a better mood.

Show your man how much you love him, write him weekly to get rid of the "miss you's" they so look forward to getting mail of any kind: remember he is bored and lonely too so don't slack when it comes to this. You Can get through this, nothing is permanent, he will make it back to your doorstep, you will get married, and it wil become a thing of the past. Take good care of yourself get a kick *** fitness routine going, this relieves stress and just makes you feel and not to mention look good(you'll sleep better too!) This is your story so make sure you know how you want it to read...........I wish you the best.

You should do what I see other GFs and wives (of jailed men) do at the main jail, which happens to be down the block from the county building in which I work. Visit him while all dolled up in heels, nylons and skimpy attire to drive him nuts and wish he could be on the outside again, then instead of going through all the hassle of changing, go home with one of the bail solicitors that hang around outside on the sidewalk and put some fun back in your life. You need a diversion. It's not your fault you fiance is in jail, so don't punish yourself. Then everytime your fiance, or hubby, gets rearrested in the future, you'll have something positive and constructive to keep you busy and entertained. You're actually quite a lucky lady.

I had a similar situation only I was pregnant. Well I still am but my man comes in 2 weeks from now, thank god. Things will be alright just keep writing him. And make sure ur phone has no block. Go see him. Make sure he has money. U'll feel closer to him through his letters and phone calls. Pray and just do things that make you relax. You'll be fine.

Go out with family and friends, get some exercise, read, keep active, and don't dwell on things you have no control over.

You dont know how long the sentence is? I understand missing someone, but i agree, if someone is serving a 5+ month sentence in prison, you may want to go back to the singles scene a gain. i could only imagine what your life would be like once married.. anyone say spouse abuse?

How 'bout not getting engaged to someone who's character would lead them to commit a crime? That one usually works for me....

Join a group or get a hobby that can distract you. Its important to stay focused on yourself as much as your man. If you really love him you cant get caught up in the fact that in is incarcerated, It will only drive you nuts.

Work on not being co-dependent. You are a person without him and should learn how to enjoy live for yourself. You can reconnect when he gets out. Have you stopped to smell the roses?
