I was a professional dog groomer for over 25 yrs, tomato juice does not work.

The peroxide, baking soda, dawn thing will work but you have to be very careful around the eye area. You cannot get this in the dogs eyes.
And since it is very common that the dog gets sprayed in the face first, this is very difficult to do.

The dog needs to be degreased first with a good degreaser, such as dawn dishwashing liquid. Again be careful around the eye area.
This will lesson the smell some. It may need to be done more than once.
Then I would use a professional product such as deskunk.
It is important to let the dog soak for several mins. I usually let it stand for about 15 to 30 mins depending on the size of the dog, how bad it had been sprayed etc.

You may have to repeat this process several times.
There is no way to remove all the smell completely all at once.
You may have to do it several days in a row, and then even it will have a faint odor.

Ugh this is not good, tomato juice is the best way, just a bath with tomato juice, it cuts the smell...i would use amway's LOC, if you have it, works well on grease/oil too.

What my friends and I do for our dog is that we use tomatoe juice and bathe him in it. Usually soap and water dont really work in this case. Just use tomatoe juice from cans to bathe your dog in it.

Good Luck!

I worked at a groomers and the best solution is vinegar. It may take a couple of time but tomato juice will take longer.
