The Yahoo Music Engine is free to download and use. You do not have to pay any money. You can rip, burn, and listen to music all you want.

There is a subscription service called Yahoo! Music Unlimited that enhances the experience in the Yahoo Music Engine, but you are not required to sign up for it.
