I was taught in driver's ed (where I learned all I needed to know about alcohol consumpsion) that a can of bear, a glass of wine, or a shot of hard liquor takes one hour to leave the system of an average sized person. Our teacher had also advised us to go to a party with a loaf of bread - and eat it while drinking to absorb the alcohol.... :o)

from like 1-12 hours. depends on the percent of alcohol in your drink. your body weight, heights, and age.

thats a good question, and i have the answer.: alcohol (for the average american) will stay in your system 24 hours after your last drink.

i believe per beer it takes two hours to get out of your system, and as for hard liquor, that might as well be a week.
