A old joke/story goes like this. A man dies and goes to heaven. At the pearly gates, St. Peter asks him if he'd like a tour. The man says "yes" and they start to walk. First they came to a group of people chanting and burning incense. The man asked, and Peter indicated that they were Buddhists. A bit later, the pair came to a group of people sitting on rugs, bowing their heads to the floor and praying -- Peter indicated they were Muslims. Soon, Peter and the man came to a huge brick wall with the words "ABSOLUTE SILENCE MUST BE OBSERVED IN THIS ZONE," The pair walked until they had passed the brick wall, and the man turned to Peter. "Who was behind the wall?" He asked. Peter replied; Those were the Christians. They think no one else is up here."
Most religions are exclusive. Either you believe the way they do, or you are wrong.

well Roman ch 2 verses 6:16 will play a part in judgement as well because there are those who have never heard the gospels, the story of Christ. so is that part also to consider. Not even all christians will make it and would reference Matthew ch 25 verses 31 thru 46 for that conclusion. ty

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but hell is a place where God is not present. God is with you now, even if you laugh at all of us Christians. God loves you and so do we. It's your choice, though, so make it wisely. You won't necessarily "burn" in hell, but it will be unlike any pain that you could possibly feel on earth. Not being near God is unbearable for humans, whether they believe it or not. Hell is the only place where humans are without God.

From what I've learnt from Baha'i books ( i love studying religion and Baha'i is the youngest recognised religion today, 100+ yrs old), the bottom line is : a person, regardless of religion, who does good in this mortal world will eventually have his spirit develop further in the spiritual worlds of God. Those who have badly sinned will not "go to hell" per se, but will live in a "hell-ish" (sorry, cant find other words) condition. He will watch "replays" after "replays" (to me, it would perhaps be like a video) of his wrongdoings, and THAT itself is bad enough for him to suffer...no fire, devil, whatever. I'm not a Baha'i but i really think this idea makes sense. Hope it does for u too. God bless.

this is the stupidity of a religion which has no philosophical basis and depends only on blind following
Hindus do not condemn non-hindus to hell
buddhists do not say non-buddhists are doomed
Even atheists do not say theists are doomed...they only pity them
God in a supreme consciousness spread over the universe working through his will power called mother nature.
In god's eyes all are equal and He is giving everyone his share of experience.
God does not even hate insects, animals, birds and trees...why he would have hate for hindus or sikhs or jews ??
These are little children who have yet to learn how to stand erect...

in my opinion, which may very well be different from yours, i do not believe that religion matters concerning salvation (if such a thing exists). i always come up with rhetorical questions to answer these types of questions, so here is one now: (hypothetical situation) if there existed an atheist/ non-believer who, obviously, did not believe in God, Jesus, Allah, etc., but lived an extremely good life (doing community service, donating to the needy, being unselfish, etc.); and there was a christian/ muslim/ jew/ etc. who believed in a god, but lived a "sinful" (whatever sinful is for you) life of greed, hatred, and selfishness, and both the atheist and believer died at the same time, who do you think would be sent to hell?

Only people who have truly repented from their sins, and given their lives to Jesus, will be saved.
John 14:6 says, "I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME."
So if you continue to reject Christ, then YES you will go to Hell.
It really does not matter what people think when they base their ideas on nothing, we Christians base our beliefs on the Holy Scriptures. This is the word of God, NOT the opinions of sinful man.

No, I don't think so. I think that idea is some religious propaganda that was thought of so you would be afraid to learn what non-christians, hindus, and buddhist belive and change your mind about Christianity.

I don't know
I hope not
If there is a God or Goddess or whatever, I don't think anyone will be sent to hell for all eternity, but that everyone will be there at some point

Yes. They will. God/Jesus loves everyone. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.
Religion is man's way to get to God.
Relationship is God's way to reach us through Jesus Christ.
Accept Jesus into your heart, ask for forgiveness and you too can get into heaven. It's a free gift.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
It's that simple.
