At first, I feared lack of control over my own life - like I had any to begin with. That fear is gone.
Faith is not believing that God can, it is knowing that He will.
I sure to give it to God. He can unscramble what I mess up and turn it for my good. God's grace gets me through all things.

My fear isn't surrendering control to Christ. My fear is that the christians were right all along, and I've already got a path carved out for me. "GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!"....because that takes away my control. No matter what I do I will end up in the same place. Its depressing, and at the same time it makes things too easy.
You can't leave things up to God or Jesus, because life would really suck. Think of this situation: Your problem? That you have cancer. The solution? Leave it up to Jesus. The Result? You die VS Your problem? Cancer. The solution? chemotherapy. The Result? possible remission.
And that applies to even simpler things. "If Jesus wanted me to have a job, I would have one. I don't have a job therefore Jesus doesn't want me to have one. So i will sit here on my couch until my landlord comes to kick me out. Then if Jesus wants me to have a new apartment I will have one...." etc etc etc. You wouldn't have to put any effort into ANYTHING because if you believed that he would take care of you, you wouldn't need to do anything. I think I'm done ranting now. Thank you.

This is a very bad question for a CONTROL FREAK! Interestingly enough when my defenses are down and I do ask the Lord to take over things ALWAYS work out for the best.( More often than not when I try to fix things in my life that I feel are not working, according to me, it mostly backfires at some point making things worse.) I wish I could give in a let Jesus do this all the time, it sure would save on counseling and pharmacy bills!
Of course one must take RESPONSIBILITY for ones actions, after all God did give us free will and etc. so this actually means that he will help you find the best solution to a problem if asked. So those of you that are using this as an excuse NOT to do something because if it were meant to be God would Give it to me, you are out of luck on this one.

Its easy to believe in alot of things. I Dont believe jesus was the "son of god" so why would i surrender to him? The fears which bubble up when i think of becomeing christan are of me becoming a closed minded wacko who hates gays and gets an urge to kill all the 'non belevers' whenever they enter my range of vision. I can fix my life with my own energy (which is why i have my witchcraft). But whan its really important then I ask my GODDESS for help. Not some guy who thinks hes divine.

God out ranks Jesus and God says that you must live your life well and help other do the same.
Giving up your life is NOT what God wants.
I have seen people that completely surrendered their life to Jesus
and they were miserable, unemployed, divorced, broke, and living out of a car.

I trust Jesus with my life. but I have to admit that my faith is not always as strong as it should be. I think this is true of all Christians.
I have been known to give my problem over to God to take care of, and then get impatient and take it back and try to fix it myself.

Assuming the God you believe in actually exists, he must have enough problems in the world to worry about without you adding yours to the pile.
Try to learn to take care of yourself.

It will never happen. I don't surrender to anything or anyone. The person who makes me happy and helps me fix things is me.
