When i am feeling just overwhelmed by everything i put on some music that is like hard rock - i like Adema, and i write just about what i am feeling or just whatever i want to. It helps me get all me feelings out and it relaxes me.

Short term answer: do something physical to relieve the tension in a neutral or positive way. If you can't stay focused enough to release anything positively, grab a thick heavy pillow from your bed, put it between your face and a wall, and scream into (and/or headbutt) the thing until you can't do it anymore. Remember, get the pillow first though so you neither hurt yourself nor the wall nor your neighbor's eardrums!
If you have a bit more focus than *that*, do something physical and positive in an aggressive way. Go for a LONG walk and *march* with big strides....work out until you feel a bit sore from a nice deep "burn" (don't maim yourself but push yourself a bit outside your comfort zone, exploit the adrenaline and the flight/fight response). Clean house *with prejudice*. If you can trust yourself with scissors, get your junk mail pile and shred it until the paper looks like confetti....then shred it again until it looks like *dental floss*. :)
Slightly longer term answer: learn some breath controlling techniques. This isn't so much about meditation as it is about making the "tail wag the dog" or about controlling the panic by loosening the grip it has physically upon your body. So learn some timed deep-breathing techniques. Also look into something called "progressive relaxation" (will find the Wiki link for you on that) so you can get the tension out of your muscles without actually being aggro about anything.
Longer term still: keep talking with your friends and co-workers, anyone and everyone who might be able to give you ideas as to how to lessen the stressors in your life. For instance, you might not be able to avoid driving to work, but maybe someone can refer you to an alternative route, that while a bit longer, gives you a bit less road rage.....
Also, make sure you are getting adequate sleep and nutrition. Make a sleep schedule and stick to it if you aren't already, make sure you get your eight hours (or whatever you need) a night. And look into snagging some StressTab-style vitamins, when you are under bodily stress, you need more B vitamins to get by. Good news is: most stores carry generic versions that are just as good as and about half the price of the name brands. Ditch the caffiene and anything else you use to rev yourself up.
Longest term: find a counselor or therapist and find ways to work through or around your issues. Really. Even the most stupid case mangler is going to have some ideas and possibly some exercises (some more retarded than others) that will help you develop coping skills and enable you to defuse the whole "issue" of stress. The idea here is to get you to eventually *accept* your stressed-out state, not judge it, and therefore *not* add fuel to the fire by freaking out *over how freaked out* you are.
I hope some of this helps and makes sense. Thanks for your time and hang in there, it does get better!

Have a girl/guys night in! Pig out on junk food & talk about stupid things. Have no conversations about relationships, work, or any other form of stressfulness in your life. & if being w/ a big group of friends isn't your thing call up your best friend ..... & again have a night in & just be stupid dance like no one's watching & laugh until your sides feel like they've sunk into your back! Just enjoy yourself & don't think or talk about anything: shape, form, object, person, or whatever that can/will cause any stress what so ever! & if it gets to an extreme ..... I hate to say this ..... but you might need to go seek therapy! I know this seems outlandish but I've been there especially when I was in high school! It got to a point where I would have panic attics quite frequently ... sometimes over the most rediculous things. I eventually had to go & receive therapy.
I hope I was of some help
Sincerly,
Giggles

You need to talk to someone, pronto. If you cant find somebody, sit in front of a mirror and talk to yourself. If you keep bottling up these feeling, then you will explode, and it wont be pretty (no pun intended). Stress is a horrible thing and can cause bad results to good people. If this is something that you have been feeling for a while, talk to a psychologist (a psychologist treats the disorder, while a psychiatrist treats the symptoms, usually with meds). You need a good cry and to do something that will relax you. There is help.

You need to find something that is calming for you IMMEDIATELY. If you do not, you are threatening a nervous breakdown. First, try some calming deep breaths that will allow the oxygen to get flowing into your brain. This will allow you to think more clearly. Once you have done that, find what calms you most. What works for me, is to fill the tub with water as warm as I can stand, so that my muscles relax, and put bubbles in. I pile my hair up on top of my head, get in, lie back, and destress for about 30 minutes. Try it. It's amazing what doing this will do for you.

Two things.
If you can do something to solve the problem that is tensing you up, then do it. If it's work stress, speak to your boss. If it's personal, talk to a friend or a counsellor. If it's debt problems, talk to your banker for debt management programmes. If someone is trampling all over your human rights, sue them.
If you can't do anything about it, pray.

You should really seek professional help. If you are underage, you should talk to a parent or guardian about it and see if they can take you to see someone. Don't let yourself reach the breaking point.
