Depends. Is his mom or dad around? If not, why not?

Jesus laid His life down. Don't try too take Jesus' place.

I would (and have) put myself in situations to protect children even if the risk of bodily harm and potentially death were possible. I don't believe risk of harm is enough reason to not get involved especially when a child is involved. However, most of society turns a blind eye to the abuses of the world and lay the burden of responsibility on the victim to "get over it" rather than become involved in the process by which abuse and abusers can not prevail.

It's quite a possibility. My body is all busted up and broken. Won't be much of a loss here. But to give up my life so that a child may have a chance to live a full life could happen.

Hunni, I am going to say no to this one, because I have a 5 year old. I would lay my life down for her in a heartbeat, or my deceased son, if i could bring him back in return for my own demise I would. As a mother, I could not die for another child to live only for my own, That may sound selfish, but she needs me as much as i need her.

Yes, I would like to think I would. Why should Race matter?
Mister Mr. has a good point. We do [all] say we would but WOULD WE?? Would we really intentionally put ourselves in harms way or would we try to rationalize our running away? Self preservation is after all, first and foremost, our strongest instinct.

I think it would be just natural and automatic to lay down your life for a child.

If the only to save a child's life is to sacrifice my own life, I would do without question.

You dont have to..that why God sent his only son(Jesus) to walk on this earth only for a short while and give his lifes blood so that we might be saved..because anyone who humbly prays for God to save their soul will be saved!

I may risk my life but I wouldn't die for no one. If they die then it's their time if God wanted them to live he wouldn't send me to help them. I wouldn't die for anyone who don't care nothing about me, I don't care I would never die in vain. I seen all to often how people disrespected those that died for them. I feel sorry and resentful for people who disrespect those that died in vain, so I will feel the same way if it was my own life. Besides what if I try and save someone life and we both die?

Remember I said i may risk my life, but want die for anyone unless I know for sure God told me to.
