Pro---just to piss off the anti's hahaha.

Just kidding. I do support amnesty, which means that illegals who are already here working and trying eek out a living, bothering no one, should be allowed to stay and pay taxes.

THERE WILL always be illegal immigration, our law says its 'illegal'. How can a law exist if you CAN'T enforce it....The law on paper says you can't come here unless you have documents. But the govt. isn't enforcing it. Ever wonder why?

They don't want too, plain and simple. Its too expensive to throw out illegals and build fences, plus the effects on the economy, perhaps it would cause a worker shortage, raising wages, consequently raising prices on goods and services.

Some say, they are draining our resources, NOT TRUE. Most just work for peanuts and are content to do so. Of course there are some that do leech of the system, but why does the system allow it????

Example, some illegals do come here and put their children in the public school system. The schools don't ask for social security # or any proof of citizenship, why you wonder, would they do that. Because the more students the schools get the more $$$$$ the government gives them. More money means nicer schools, better athletics, computers etc. So tell me, who's at fault here, the illegal or the government??? I would say the government, they give it away....

The reason I am pro amnesty is because I believe in human rights. These people come from very poor indigent places in Mexico, that we as americans can't even imagine. They are happy to just get a decent days pay, like $20 bucks a day, which is a lot of money for them. Believe me, I see it first hand living on the border....

Immigrants won't come to the U.S. legally. We're fine with people from different countries and ethnicities living in the United States as long as the enter legally. Whenever an illegal immigrant has a baby in the country they came to illegally, the baby is a legal immigrant of that country which makes it hard to deport all the illegal immigrants because they have sustained a life in the U.S. without being registered and not having to pay taxes, and have had kids here...So, if we deported all the illegal immigrants, an innumerable amount of families would be separated in the process.

Totally against it.

here's waht needs to happen though:
1. stop illegal immigration
2. raise the number of legal immigrants from 5,000peryear to a higher number
3. deport all illegal immigrants that have been here for less than 5 years or are unemployed
4. fine all illegal immigrants several thousand dollars that have been here for more than 5 years and have reason to be here or have a steady job nd give them temporary visas
5. MAKE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS PAY TAXES!!

Being a Border Patrol Agent I am mostly against but then again,w/o it I would be unemployed... look it isnt that hard to come in legally...the best thing the government could do is explain to them the legal process to get border crossing cards which allow them to work 25 miles from the border and 75 in AZ..instead of just putting them on a bus back so I can arrest them again. I try to explain the legal process to some of them when I have the time, my Spanish is limited so it is tough...many of them want to come in legally, it is very dangerous in the desert with the smugglers... and it would allow us thetime to look for more drugs and terrorists...when I arrest 20 illegals that are friendl;y and just looking to come and work it takes at least 20 man hours to get them back out of the country if everything goes smooth, that is a lot of time to be working on more dangerous problems.

I am against illegal immigration, drug use, child abuse, pretty much everything that is AGAINST the law. I am totally against someones defense of illegal activity when the first words out of their mouths are " I just wanted too, or I just needed too" I am against some things that are within the law too, but just because they are within the law doesn't mean i will do those things.

I'm pro immigration...think about it, our entire country was founded by immigrants from Europe back in colonial times. However there is also a proper way to do it and people need to follow the law.

Against it. We have enough problems already. We have too much to deal with already with Bush being in office and this bull **** going on over in Iraq. Now add that with the fact that our country may be crawling with terrorists looking for any open opportunity to **** us in our back sides with no vaseline again and I would say that letting in "more" foreigners is just not a good idea right now.

illegal means it illegal. so if its not right to be for something illegal. but the real question is then... why is it called illegal immigration. if everybody respected the immigration laws then honestly millions of people would cease to exist in the U.S.

for all we know there would be hundereds of famous people that wouldnt be here, millions of people that would never exist here. too much isnt good. but its not necessarily that bad.
