Dude, I know exactly how you feel. My husband and I have been married for 16 years. It has been a struggle every step of the way, money wise. Just when you think you are getting ahead something breaks down and you have to use what little extra money that you might have had to fix it. Also, in the last 15 years we have never been able to go do anything fun, and now with the gas prices so high we don't even have the gas to go any where but work and straight home. You are depressed. You don't like your job, that is for sure. Yes, you should go see a doctor. Your family doctor can help you. If you have insurance that is. We can't go see a doctor. My husband is looking for a job with benifits, though. Oh, if you don't have money for a doc, read up on St. John's Wort. It is said to help depression. It is natural. It might do the trick until your 90 days is over and your insurance kicks in. If you get any, that is. I do hope that this helps you in some way. You are not alone though. My husband feels the same way that you do, just don't take it out on your girlfriend, like he does me. Good luck.

There is nothing wrong with you. You are just having a normal reaction to life as an adult, uneducated, peeon.
Of course your depressed.
Your living in Tennissee, working a sh1t job, for minimum wage, and you are looking down the barrel of having to do this for the rest of your life.
Duh.
If you wern't depressed - THAT would be a problem.
Your solution is to chart a course out of the situation you are in - and start on it.
Either look for a better job - or get some training (so you can get a better job) or look for ways to go to college - or think about ways to do something else that appeals to you.
Borrow if you have to to get the education you need - it will pay for itself in long run. Their is finantial aid avalible at almost every college or tech-school - so this is VERY do-able for you. Don't borrow with credit cards - that is a total trap - borrow from your uncle Sam.
Whatever you do - use CONDOMS! A kid right now will make your world NOTHING but worse.

The situation you now find yourself in is trapping you, suffocating you, and you know inside that you want out. It may be the girl or the fact that your care free life of teen living with mom/dad picking up the bills is over. You are in a job you hate and can't stand to even go there. I suggest you take a break from this unsatisfactory lifestyle and go home where you can finish growing up...or screw you butt on, get busy being responsible and show up for work on time and everyday. But you don't want to,you thought moving in the gf would give you the freedom to do as you pleased, but then you figured out that it was really hard work. It wasn't all the freedom and joy and sex you thought it was going to be. So get busy solving this situation and best of luck with the hard choices you know you must make.

It sounds like you may be experiencing depression. Wether its mild to sever depends on the events that have been happening and if you have felt like this before. Everybody has their bad days, but some classic signs of sever depression is the inablility to get out of bed, sleeping alot, not wanting to do the fun things that you normally do, and occasionally suicidal thoughts (if you had the energy to kill yourself.) Talk to a doctor if you feel its something you cant get through on your own. Talk with your girlfriend and see if she can do anything to make you feel better (but dont expect her to cure you.) It sounds like you are doing okay with your life right now; girlfriend, shelter, job. Maybe do something fun that you love to do. Stop watching depressing movies or listening to depressing music. Have fun, exercise (the best cure for depression!) and again, have fun! Your 19, life is YOUNG!

Get it together man! Everybody gets the blues but you will be okay! You got to get out and have some fun and make friends and find the joy in life again. Tell people you love how much you care for them and do things with your friends and family. It sounds like your job is a drag so you might consider getting a better one. Remember to never feel sorry for yourself and be a fighter that never gives up! I hope I helped you.

Go see a therapist. Talking things out may help, as will an anti-depressant. Depression can be brought on by a few things like life events or hormone imbalances. A therapist will help you figure this out, so you'll be able to live happily.
Best of luck!

There's nothing "wrong" with you. It's normal to be stressed out of over finanical responsibilities. You are in a situation that most people usually don't have to face until they are older and earning more money. It's natural for it to be overwhelming.

Let's call it depression. it's not quite unique, the disease, but you are unique. I also get that hit sometimes, and I listen to my CD collection (fave bands, and all) & realize even them huge rock'n roll bands get it... and I get fine... Try "Run Away Train", or Nirvana's hits...
Or read Calvin & Hobbes, or Asterix comix... just do it. You need a DISTRACTION when it hits.
