I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. NO NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. Not the priests, not the pope, but JESUS. Jesus is the mediator between God and man.
I love the TRUTH. It is when this gets misconstued and misinterpreted that I have a problem with it.

whew. not sure where you're goin' with this one buddy. Might be able to answer that question if you provided some insight into your own psyche. What "truth" do you possess that others hate hearing about? Truth is relative in a world of lies. Besides, are you omniscient? If not, quit searching and preaching (if you do), because there IS no truth.

Have you ever read Plato's "The Allegory of the Cave" in the Republic?
That about answers your question. Some people cannot stand the light, or being told that they are wrong, or being told of things that are not what their preconceived notions of reality are, when all they have know is the darkness. It is not necessarily that they are bad people, just people who have gotten used to the dark and like it like that.
Besides, truth requires commitment, making decisions, and actually walking into it. It is much easier to sit and stare at the images being projected on the wall (or TV as it is now days)

I disagree that people hate hearing the truth. I speak the truth all the time and if it's done with love, it eases people's hurts.
I think that perhaps people simply do not accept what you say to be true. You may be completely sincere, but they are too.

Well sometimes truth is relative and when it is absolute then sometimes it can be overwhelming. I would say most people don't necessarily hate the truth but maybe the WAY it is brought to them.

There is no truth among humans. There are only opinions. People may have their ideas of what is true, but not one of us can ever know for sure.
It only makes sense that people will agree with their own opinions and disagree with contradictory ones, but you have to acknowledge that you have nothing more than a severe hunch telling you what you believe in.

Well, the problem is that a lot of people tend to make claims on truth, and a lot of these claims contradict each other... so that makes things difficult.

becoz it is the truth!! and it sometimes hurt people very badly. but for the brave people truth is their world. i like hearing truth from the people i believe in and from the people i love.
